Are you a disrupter during covid-19 ?

Since the corona virus b/s started I've ramped up my disrupting by refusing to use electronic payments, refusing to wear masks (no jurisdiction in Australia says they're mandatory), refusing to get flu vax jabs, and boycotting any shops and businesses that refuse to accept customers who want to pay with cash and/or refuse to use contact-tracing apps.

In the last month I've spent probably $5k or so on outgoings and almost all that has been cash payments.

Are you a disrupter and how have you been disrupting the system during the covid-18/19/20 plandemic?

A rebel without a clue. Well done you.

No I am not a selfish moron

I value life. Until there is a vaccine and/or a cure, I will wear a mask and take precautions. I was a teenager when AIDS hit, so wearing a condom (or refraining from sex) were our choices to stay healthy. It's too bad you have no value of life, but, you do you, I guess.

No. I was socially distant before it was fashionable. I dont enjoy tap and go payments. But I use them for the time being. And if you dont have a seriously good reason for not getting a flu shot this year you will be an idiot not to.

I privately think it's an utter overreaction. We've had 100 dead in Australia, mostly elderly of whom many were already seriously ill, compared to around 800 elderly dead each year from seasonal flu. For that the entire society and economy have been disrupted. Should have just locked down the vulnerable groups and let it rip, mostly no worse than a bad cold. All these executives competing with each other to be the most compassionate and compliant. Three months of cruisy coccooning for me.

Flu vax does *not* do anything for covid-19. I've never had a flu vax jab ever.
Repete · 61-69, M
I’ve got to go play in the mud and drink from the garden hose and lay in the sun for awhile. Same as I’ve done for over 60 years. Now they are saying playing in the dirt is better for your immune system.
You worry about your life and the many ways death can come I’m not worried and I will take precautions around others if they choose to be around me . @windinhishair
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Repete I'm not worried. I take precautions when warranted and make decisions based on the best science available. I refrain from doing things that pose a threat to others. I will live every day on earth fully. Be safe and well.
Repete · 61-69, M
I’ll do the same. Have a wonderful day.@windinhishair

My kids have always been allowed to play in the dirt, and I play in the dirt a lot myself. No flu shot required for me. The disruption to society caused by the bullshit reaction to something that is not (as far as we get told) understood is mind-boggling. And I've had to work my normal shiftwork job the whole time like nothing has changed.

@zonavar68 What is it about the fake nation of Australia that brings out all the kooks and their wacko conspiracy theories? You guys give the Trump cultists a run for their money.

Does it matter if covid-19 causes your death by suffocation because you can't get enough oxygen in your body? The virus is still the cause of death.
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@windinhishair Again you don't listen - I'm saying it's not the direct cause. it might still be a cause, but it's not the direct cause. That's an important distinction. It's the same as saying flu vax stops you getting the flu - it does nothing of the sort - all it does it artificially alter the bodies immune response footprint based on what a government thinks might be common flu strains during a cold season. I step back and look with open eyes and make up my own mind. I don't force you or anyone else to accept my views. I just state them and put them out there in the public domain.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@zonavar68 What kind of gobbledygook are you saying? Every year there is a flu vaccine that targets specific flu strains. So if you have a flu shot for a specific flu strain, and you are exposed to it and don't get the flu because of the antibodies in your system, you are saying that the vaccine didn't prevent you from getting the flu? The antibodies did? What is the difference? Getting the vaccine prevented you from getting the flu. Period.

And with covid-19, if it directly causes your death through suffocating, are you saying that it didn't cause your death?

So if you are shot and killed by a bullet from a gun, using your reasoning the gun didn't cause your death, and neither did the bullet. Bleeding to death or organ damage from the affects of the bullet did. So you can't count it as a gun death.

I step back and look with open eyes at facts and make up my own mind based on science. Not some convoluted senseless drivel.

No. There are some risks I'm not willing to take
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@SW-User I respect each persons views on this. I am happy to use cash, happy to do in-person shopping, meet people, etc. I still want to know what people did about hygiene before the pandemic if all of a sudden the whole world suddenly had to start learning about washing hands. ;-)
No. I’m both trying to survive this myself and not spread it to anyone else.

I've been going into town whenever I damn well please.
UpForItNow · 22-25, F
@Graylight I have not had the slightest symptoms, and only three people from my jurisdiction have died, all elderly people with other serious ailments not far from death anyway. My jurisdiction is now entirely free of active cases. My travels have been within the letter of the law, falling within the broad exemptions of shopping and exercise, and observing social distancing, which in fact I've been practising for years. Your middle finger would be better directed at your own Commander-in-Chief in this matter.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@UpForItNow As many as half of all carriers are asymptomatic, and maybe for as long as two weeks. You have no idea whether you can infect others. You have no idea who can infect you. Unless every citizen has been tested, you can't say whether there are cases in your jurisdiction or not. Social distancing is effective and a positive thing to do, but 6 feet is absolutely a joke.

Hundreds of thousands of people are dying from this, with no treatment or vaccine in sight. Would it kill you guys to take others into account for a little while? Is it really such an imposition on your gym schedule to help possibly save a life?

And if you're prepared to answer that last with anything but a no, don't even bother.
UpForItNow · 22-25, F
@Graylight No. I don't use a gym, and my partner's and children's gym arrangements were cancelled, which I don't begrudge. Instead we exercised together outdoors in accordance with social distancing prescriptions.

I'm planning funeral services for my aunt so as to mitigate the trauma of a COIVD death on the rest of her family.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
And the result you are hoping for.....?
curiosi · 61-69, F
Way to go! I like you!
