Can someone explain this to me? I received an email stating that the US Government is spending 19 million dollars to control locusts in Africa.

You either try to save their crops from being eaten by locusts, or you will have to pay to feed the people later. That is how the "humanitarian" US government works. Sad, but true.

@theexciting1 It's freaking me out...we can't get enough face masks for our medical workers right now, and yet we are throwing money to kill the bugs in Africa. I mean...didn't the EU just make it legal to sell and EAT grasshoppers? Why the hell don't they bag them up? Free food for the EU!!!!

@Nimbus Yes...similar in some ways...but I doubt if any of that money will go toward insecticide. Africa is so corrupt that some official there will just pocket the money.

When they could be bagging up ALL that free food!!! Because it's legal to sell bugs for consumption in the EU now. You left just in time...😂

We may have left the EU but we will continue to 'support' India I hear.
