Mrs Pelosi announces she plans to load the NEXT COVID 19 bill with dem pork

How kind of her. Now we know what to look for when perusing the draft.

But even before President Donald Trump’s signature is on the bill, Pelosi is pivoting to the next relief measure and what Democrats would like to see in it.

“The bill that was passed in the Senate last night and that we will take up tomorrow is about mitigation,” Pelosi told reporters Thursday. “There’s so many things we didn’t get in any of these bills yet in the way that we need to.”

Some of the things Democrats are pushing for include additional funding for state and local governments to address the rapidly spreading virus; expanding the pool of people who qualify for family and medical leave; more federal dollars for food aid; stronger worker protections for first responders; funding to offset coronavirus treatment costs; and stabilizing pensions.

Perhaps the demented MRS Pelosi will seek your add agricultural aid for her vineyards.

Beside that it's from the team you don't like.
What is actually your problem with:
Some of the things Democrats are pushing for include additional funding for state and local governments to address the rapidly spreading virus; expanding the pool of people who qualify for family and medical leave; more federal dollars for food aid; stronger worker protections for first responders; funding to offset coronavirus treatment costs; and stabilizing pensions.
That is definitely a better system for when a crisis is in place. Here we have dates certain doe elections followed by a two month lag while the incumbent remains in office and the replacement (if the incumbent is not re-elected) takes over. Based on how things have gone certain Americans would be horrified if President Trump remained in office for even an extra second. @Kwek00

@jackjjackson If this document is correct... the right to such a descision lies in congress:

Yep. Congress AND state governments. So theoretically there could be 50 sets of rules. I. Fact polling rules today differ state by state. @Kwek00

@AbbeyRhode Abbey! - These are priceless!
AbbeyRhode · F
@Budwick Thank you! They made me smile. ☺️

I find it very odd that you choose to go after Pelosi when Trump is the one you should be complaining about. His lack of compassion for those suffering from this virus when he refuses to help states get the medical supplies that they need. And now he wants to lift the "stay at home" process, regardless of what his medical experts are warning him against.

Pelosi isn't president, she can say and do whatever, but unless she gets the votes it's all null and void.

I think what she's trying to do is very admirable and will help the American people. Too bad Trump and his lap dogs don't come up with some good things for us.

PELOSI: Some of the things Democrats are pushing for include additional funding for state and local governments to address the rapidly spreading virus; expanding the pool of people who qualify for family and medical leave; more federal dollars for food aid; stronger worker protections for first responders; funding to offset coronavirus treatment costs; and stabilizing pensions.

@jackjjackson And Trump leads the pack.
DonHobag · M
@jackjjackson Sorry you can't agree with the facts. We can't force you to be correct. Continue on with your rambling☺️

@JeanAnna Explain to me how forcing motorvoting is alleviating the kung flu situation....
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Putting aside dem versus rep. I think it should be against the law to load down bills with all that bullshit that doesn't pertain to the original intent of a bill. Amendments and clauses to get Joe Schmo his new compound shouldn't be allowed in a bill that does not directly mention Joe Schmo's compound in the original phrasing. I get tired of seeing that my taxes are paying for frog porn to be produced in some foreign country because some idiot added it to a well meaning proposal. It p*sses me off. I'll leave it at that before I break out in political hives.

PS Stop making me comment on your political stuff. ;) My head already hurts and no one is trying to reply to me on this YET. :)
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
@Fungirlmmm Agreed. I also thing they should be on the same healthcare and retirement plans we are. See if that wouldn't persuade them the get better and solving some of these issues.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
@WindTherapy I could get behind that.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
BRILLIANT! @WindTherapy

Pork is the most old-fashioned sort of stimulus there is. It's what we do in recessions. If it helps us climb out of the hole, bring it on.
Only fair since this bill is loaded with Republican pork.
curiosi · 61-69, F
She is truly evil!
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Now suffering from dementia along with Biden. Both should be kept hid IF the Dems are smart but we know better 😳 @curiosi

Yet it is a Republican Congressman (Massie) that might hold up todays vote..so put blame where blame should be put.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Had it all been done on Sunday we wouldn’t be here today. I agree. Maddie is a jackals if he does what he has threatened. @PTCdresser57
She's got her Impeach'N clothes on.
@jackjjackson That along with coffee breath - booze and body odor....Nothing a little roll on can't take care of.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I was thinking along the lines of a fire hose and delousing @MarmeeMarch
@jackjjackson if you have ever wanted to see water make a U-turn - turn a fire hose on that pig.

Trump and the repubs aren’t fully innocent here.
Why are we rescuing Boeing? They’ve been in trouble before this pandemic.
And who gives a shit about the cruise line and airline industries being given a lifeline? They’ve been gouging the public for too long
And the Kennedy center? WTF?!
SW-User
@jackjjackson their mistake should be at our cost.
Again.. that issue existed before..
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@SW-User We are rescuing Boeing because that's a strategically critical business that we will never allow to go under. How is this even a surprise? Same with the airlines.

Sounds like cruise lines are SOL for now.

Funding the arts as opposed to letting those organizations die during the shutdown is also a good idea, I don't understand why people are bitching about that. We'd just be forced to rebuild those institutions on public dime afterwards anyway, and those people would be on unemployment otherwise.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Pretty darned on point all in all. @QuixoticSoul
DonHobag · M
Let's see if she can help Donald with his little unemployment issue
Budwick · 70-79, M
@DonHobag While Nancy was busy trying to impeach Trump, Trump imposed the China travel ban - for example.
DonHobag · M
@Budwick Try again
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You’re wearing your time. Miss Hathaway was clearly dropped on the head at least once too often.

@Budwick
Carla · 61-69, F
She is so awful to push for things that will help people(not corporations) during the time of a killer pandemic. The horror of it all!
@jackjjackson don't make me think of that witch - this early in the AM --
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Y’all are falling for CNNDNC talking points. Mrs Pelosi INSISTED ON $25M to the Kennedy center. The Kennedy Center @Carla @LeopoldBloom @JeanAnna
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Carla People do not work for corporations! Wow, breaking news, hurry up and phone pmsnbc, I hear they are running out of things to bitch about
