Impeachment Held Hostage - Day 21

If a tree never falls in the forest,
Does anyone really give a shit?

WTF is going on?
Is she waiting for Trump to run a red light?

Democrats and anti-Trumpers in general - are looking pretty foolish.

I honestly can't wait to see how all this shit show falls apart. I want to see the piles and piles of heaping evidence they apparently have. Also, Nancy telling Mitch how to run the senate is laughable. Grab your popcorn fellas, this is gonna be a good one.
Your whole position on this situation has been an amazing example of trying very hard to ignore the reality that’s right in front of you.
Yet, you think the main reason of his impeachment was the call when Democrats were pushing for impeachment way before the call even took place. You're a parrot with the inability to articulate anything on your own.

It's funny, but I'm glad this happened. I want to see all the evidence against Trump, since apparently there are piles. Piles of nonsense and nothing related to treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors.

Yes, the reason for his impeachment is the call. Just because some Democrats wanted him impeached earlier for other things, whether impeachable or not, doesn’t mean much - especially since they were massively voted down every time.

The call was an unprecedented fuckup.
You're a parrot with the inability to articulate anything on your own.
No, you’re just salty because I’m right. Again.
I'm glad this happened. I want to see all the evidence against Trump, since apparently there are piles
You’ve already seen piles - though really all you needed was the White House’s own memo. You won’t see any more, because republicans are too scared to put the relevant folks on the stand.
high crimes and misdemeanors
You still make every impression that you simply don’t know what those words mean.

You been listening to your talking heads again, bud?
There is good reasoning behind the delay. If nothing else but to piss trump & co off.
But, there are far better reasons than that.
Seems as each day that goes by, more info comes out. Not that it makes any difference to you.
He could shoot a guy.......

To be fair, you ARE filling some pretty big shoes:

Foolish to you, maybe. McConnell wants a show trial, but the longer this drags out, the more demand there is for a real trial with witnesses. Now Bolton wants to testify. This process is showing McConnell for the lickspittle sycophant he is.

If Trump is innocent and his acquittal is a foregone conclusion, what are you afraid of? Let’s have a real trial, with witness testimony. That way, when the corrupt Republicans let him off the hook, at least you’ll be able to boast that it was a real verdict.
And obviously on to the truth. I always know I am when your jabbering goes into filibuster overdrive. @QuixoticSoul
So how many people were listening in on this phone call? 😂😂😆🤣🤣Was it a party line or do they all work for the NSA? @LeopoldBloom
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@DukeOfEarle Party line. These things usually are.

This is the sort of stuff most people already know, but the handicapped among us might need the occasional reminder.

It all smoke & mirrors with the Democrats, they are playing games.

They've been looking like abject fools for over three years now. 🤭

@QuixoticSoul

Well, tbh, I don't read Breitbart. I hear about their polls from time to time, and they don't generally seem to be out in right field. 😉
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Thinkerbell Oh, they are.

@QuixoticSoul

I was referring to their polls, not their editorial content. Their numbers are generally not far off.

Impeachment isn't being held hostage. Trump has been impeached and will always be one of the very few impeached presidents. There is no timeline requirement for submitting Articles of Impeachment to the Senate. With new revelations and proof of Trump's malfeasance and impeachable offenses coming out daily, it makes sense to wait as long as practical. Besides, McConnell has already promised not to hold a fair trial, and negotiating for witnesses and evidence presentation also makes sense.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@windinhishair Not only is there no timeline - there is not even a requirement to transmit or submit anything. These things are just house and senate rules.

The articles are a matter of record now - Senate can hold a trial tomorrow if they want.
Problem is there aren’t any crimes spelled out in the impeachment. Obstruction? Uh, weak. I mean if he’s THAT bad you’d think they’d have something more solid aside from this “he said, she said” hearsay. You know, some hard evidence of a crime.

Um, I don't know. Maybe she's taking a page from the Republicans playbook, 'cause we know now that you certainly can't appoint a federal judge on the president's time table. It's advisable to delay that as long as possible so as to gain the best advantage.

What's good for the goose...

But wait, shouldn't they make their case fast? I mean, they already have all the evidence and commitment, why wait? Seems counterproductive since they've been wanting this for years now. In any case, I can't wait to see what evidence they can produce.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@xRedx Since nobody expects Trump to actually be removed, there is no real hurry any more.

The case is already made 🤷‍♂️
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Okay. I will use my little words, so you get it. Republicans were already saying they were going to reject the impeachment because Trump didnt have a chance to defend himself (After refusing to attend aor allow any of his people to give evidence. So He is being given all the time he needs to prepare a defence. How long can it take to tweet. "Because"?
curiosi · 61-69, F
Nancy has until Sunday Jan 12 to deliver the articles or there will be a vote in the senate to dismiss.
IndridCold · 46-50, M
What does the impeachment process matter to you as long as he's still in office?
IndridCold · 46-50, M
@Budwick Yeah. I'm just wondering why you even care? He's still in office. Isn't that all that matters to you?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@IndridCold There's more to it than remaining in office.
If you seriously don't understand that - then I won't waste anymore time on you.
IndridCold · 46-50, M
@Budwick It's smart of you not to waste your time on a guy like me. I don't have much patience for whiny little snowflakes like yourself.
Pfuzylogic · M
He is screwing up so much they need to include fresh impeachment charges.
