No, they are not concentration camps just like the death camps from WWII.
For one thing, no one is being gassed to death, and we just plum forgot to build crematoriums for all the bodies...because we are not committing genocide.

Any one of the stupid yahoos inside those holding facilities could have saved themselves $7,000 to $10,000 just by staying home, and they would probably be a lot more comfortable, right now.

Of course, a few of them are wanted by the police in their own countries, so they actually HAD to try to run up here and hide.

They each, (except for the kidnapped or rented children), made the decision to come here, knowing it wasn't for asylum...[b]it was for more money[/b]. So they decided to break our law. And some of them actually put their own children's lives at risk, [b]for more money[/b]. And some of them actually LOST their children, from drowning, or dehydration, or sepsis, or from other disease after subjecting those little children to a 2000 mile trek. [b]For more money[/b].

And you know what? We don't WANT the illegals, because anyone who wants to break down the door to get in isn't our kind of future citizen. We would be sooooo thrilled to send all of them home...unlike a concentration camp in WWII where the residents were prisoners.

So when the far left liberals start whining about children in cages, which happened under Obama, and start whining about the terrible cruelty of OUR government and ICE and DHS, who were, just two months ago, sinking under the weight of the enormous numbers of illegals flouting our law, and under the weight of a destructive Congress who wanted to create this situation by refusing to provide funding, I want to puke in my hat. No. But then that is not what is being alleged either. The nazi death camps were not the only concentration camps in history and not even where the term originated from. The death camps (and not even all the nazi camps were for extermination) were just one of the more extreme examples from history and convenient for deflecting. It’s a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion. The jews weren’t sent to israel from death camps. I don’t know exactly what’s going on in these ICE facilities but im sure it doesn’t involve sarin gas or burning people in ovens,make soaps and umbrellas out of them etc. I do feel sorry for the folks who came in search for a better life and get the same treatment as hardened criminals do. The nazis started with concentration camps before turning them into death camps.

Concentration camps were not invented by the nazis, and generally aren't death camps.

There's a difference between concentration camps and extermination camps.

I'm pretty sure we haven't really gotten into the latter, at least yet.

If I remember right, it took the Nazis about 9 years of pussy footing around with relocation centers and work camps before really getting efficient.

Unless Trump wins again in 2020, at a minimum, I think we're not even going to see real work camps, and true death camps would probably require even more time to acclimate Americans to.

No, I don't think the conditions are the same. Not even close. However, both the German work camps and this immigrant detainment Center are internment camps and in that way, they are identical.
