Do u believe Donald Trump is to blame for the recent shootings in the US ? 🤔

As it stands today. It appears that Trump has emboldened these White Nationalists to commit these acts of terror. The recent events in our world today says everything. You saw the shootings in Texas and Ohio. White Nationalism, or nationalism from any ethnic group or race is the problem here. If we do not call it for what it is this tragedy will never end. Something needs to be done. But these racist comments from Trump must end. What do you think. 😐

Whilst I don’t agree with censorship as such, I do think that people do have to be careful with words. Words carry weight. Words can make us think or make laugh/cry.

People with a big platform do have to understand how people will take their words.

So, whilst you shouldn’t take full responsibly for another’s actions, you should be tactful/respectful/honest in what you put out to the public.

Trump has a habit of pulling people down with inaccuracies, people that he doesn’t agree with. The Mayor of London states something about a British issue in America and next we hear is that he is doing a rubbish job and he’s responsible for ‘rivers of blood’ in London....

How does that look? That England is a scary place to live. Fact is, there is some violence, of course, but nothing like what is displayed by Trump’s words...

Call out Mexicans and blame them for taking US jobs just leads to hate of those people and holding them to task for unemployment.

Fact is, we had a little taste of that with the influx of Eastern European’s in the uk....a minority slagged them off for taking British jobs, yet these were menial jobs that those self-same brits turned their noses up at! Someone has to do these jobs and, to their credit, these overseas immigrants came and did them!

Trump never tends to think of the implications of his words and his actions.....

...and that is sad...

Nationalism is the love for ones nation.. That being the country that one lives in..

The interpretation that nationalism is the love for ones own race to the exclusion of all others is not accurate.. It is a globalist propaganda point that has been repeated so often people are starting to think that their changed definition of Nationalism is what nationalism really is..
ididntknow · 51-55, M
@whippersnapper Are you a globalist?
@ididntknow

Fuck no

Just because I correct someone's incorrect definition of a word doesn't mean I want to hold hands with everyone and sing Kumbaya. Jesus 🙄
Adstar · 56-60, M
@whippersnapper Well i disagree with the definition when it says ""especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.""" Just because one loves their nation does not mean they hate or seek the detriment of other nations..

@Baremine What!? That's crazy talk no one believes that except the cultists. One thing old trump got more influence than reverend moon. No mask no vaxx they are killing their audience.
@Baremine

What a load of horse shit. AND you KNOW it!

In American politics, the Southern strategy was a Republican Party electoral strategy to increase political support among white voters in the South by appealing to racism against African Americans. As the civil rights movement and dismantling of Jim Crow laws in the 1950s and 1960s visibly deepened existing racial tensions in much of the Southern United States, Republican politicians such as presidential candidate Richard Nixon and Senator Barry Goldwater developed strategies that successfully contributed to the political realignment of many white, conservative voters in the South who had traditionally supported the Democratic Party rather than the Republican Party. It also helped to push the Republican Party much more to the right relative to the 1950s.

Trump emboldened White Supremacists. He knew there were a lot of them out there so he pandered to them for their votes. He believed if he got their votes he wouldn't have to chase undecided votes.

The unemployment rate was higher when Trump left office than when he took office. Fewer people were employed. Trump was the first and only president to lose jobs during his failed term in office in the post-WWII era. Even George W. Bush had a small increase, though it took him 8 years to do it. The economy was in worse shape when Trump left office than when he came in, and he convinced tens of millions of Republicans that COVID was a hoax. Due to his malfeasance, well over a million Americans have died, and at least as many have long COVID they are struggling with. By just about any measure, Trump's term in office was an abject failure. He will not run again, and if he did, he would be soundly defeated again, by an even larger margin than his second popular vote loss. @redredred

Instead of just “yelling” racism and pointing fingers, which may not be entirely wrong, the black community needs to decide how THEY would like to be perceived and what THEY can do to change that perception.

White people can’t change black on black crime, criminal tolerance, lower education standards and fatherless families. None of these issues are entirely “black” per se, but they do largely affect perceptions and reality in the black community.

It can be done, but not without the community looking inward and changing the focus of blame.

Perfect example: When I was young, the horrible stereotype of Chinese was that they all owned or worked at laundry mats. Now a part of that may be true, but as a community they decided to change that perception.

Now, 2021, what is the perception of their community? It’s that their children are the smartest, most hard working in the world.
Third class citizens to Ivy League graduates in less than two generations.

And what was the public assistance they were afforded? Nil.

Change can occur, but it will never occur with your (pl) finger pointing outward to blame others for your lack of success. It’s not the system. It’s you, the individual, that can make a difference and that difference isn’t black or white.

So, now that Trump is gone, along with his fucking idiotic Twitter penchant, let’s judge what the black community can do to evolve. I’ll only suggest that little happened under 8 years with Obama, so it’s not about a President. Like Obama or not, no one can belittle the absolute class and dignity that he set as an example. But, somehow everyone remained indignant.

So, it’s not the system. It’s not a political party. It’s individual responsibility and that’s got little to do with privilege, pigment or political party.

A great deal also is perspective. You have a choice. Be angry about where you came from or optimistic about where you’re going.

The optimist will always succeed.
@Adogslife You are right about one thing though. Neither party has the interests of the lower class in mind. That is why most minorities have checked out of electoral politics entirely and join mass movements. Even peer reviewed studies have proven the US government works exclusively for big business and oligarchs and anything that benefits the lower working classes is so small it can be written off as statistical error.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Adogslife There you go again with your narrow minded Conservative rhetoric. I'm not a soul justice warrior. Or anti White. I'm anti racist. That means I object to all forms of racial or cultural supremacy from any racial or ethnic group. We cannot afford to ignore these social ills as things have gotten much worse over the. Your lack of empathy and intelligence is what's the problem. If a White male gets shot unarmed by a cop that is wrong. I have made posts time and time again about that. When I do nobody wants to talk about it. Why? Because people are afraid of the truth. Police brutality is a real problem. And the stuff you don't see on the news would make your skin crawl. There is violence in every race. The educational system has failed everyone. Student debt at an all time high. Fatherless homes abound. Getting rid of corruption and systemic Racism is what will even the playing field. Because even when Blacks were slaves and we're a family unit racism affected them even more so then. Google Black Wall Streets. And you will see. But the truth remains we must.look for solutions. And a lot of progress has been made. 🤔
@Adogslife Here is a video that provides a bit of perspective on how race and class are linked to the problem. Unfortunately it doesn't cover how some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies use prison slave labour and lobby for harsh sentences and how private prisons make profits on occupancy like a hotel so recidivism is a feature not a bug.

Police brutality is part of this system and exists to enforce the system with an iron fist.

No... Trump is not blame for half the things he gets blamed for. Sure, he didnt to a thing to fix some of the stuff he could have. But thats different. In fact, Americans are to blame for Trump. Ans until they learn to act responsibly they will continue to be their own worst enemies.😷

whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I dont deny Trump is a lying cheating sack of Shyte.. But he actually did almost nothing while in office to run the nation. Just to cover up his own mistakes and fill his pockets.😷
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@TwistedSister He was actually impeached for shaking down the President of Ukraine by withholding foreign aid authorized by Congress until he started a fake "investigation" of Joe Biden's son. Trump's team did coordinate with the Russians to help with the election, which the Mueller Report makes clear, but because all of the Republicans clammed up, Mueller couldn't directly tie the threads together. This is also documented in the Report.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
I disagree. People are being pushed to the breaking point, and the extremists are the first to start fighting back because they are extremists. Thousands die a year, including far too many innocent children, from gang violence, and general crime, and no one blinks an eye. If you ask me, that is the real racism. No one seems to care about poor black people in gang ridden cities, they focus on a couple of nutty white guys. None of the 'woke folk' cared about the border crisis until they saw an opportunity to start a totally false 'racism narrative', because some overworked border workers were trying to keep crowds of Haitians from getting hurt by their horses.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Oberon1 You disagree because you're an old White male. Now let's pretend Trump is Obama. Your tune changes quickly. I don't believe you. 🙂
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Oberon1 Thats somewhat true. But that's the Black Community's responsibility. You should worry about your own children who are overdosing daily on opioids and fetanyl daily. And doing meth.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Zonuss You are mistaken. I disagree because of a real odd situation that involves thousands of black people being killed by black people every year and when a .00000000002% are killed by police or a couple of white idiots, the country goes nuts. There is an obvious problem there, and it is because of the real racists who don't shed a tear for innocent children, but burn their own businesses down over some chronic criminal who got himself shot by police. The scale is unbalanced. When you consider the fact that the killers represent around 6% of the population of the United States, the scale becomes really unbalanced. It is time to wake up and smell the cordite!

[c=800000]What about the shootings in Texas had anything to do with white nationalism? If we blame Trump for the one in Buffalo, can we blame the one in CA in 2015 on Obama? After all, those shooters were Muslims. [/c]
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
You are asking ME for an intelligent response and yet YOU are an Obama toady?
THAT is a classic!!! 😆
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@ProfessorPlum77 Uh actually I'm not. I'm just me. So you failed to give an intelligent response. I knew you're weren't capable. What else is new. 😊
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@Zonuss Goodbye.
Here’s a stunner. These guns/ weapons confiscated if anybody’s fault, lies at the feet of liberals, progressives, social progressives and the Democratic Party and people like Alvin Bragg, DA for Manhattan along with buffoons like Andrew Cuomo and those in the NY state legislature who pushed for no bail laws.[image deleted]
@soar2newhighs Trump is not personally responsible but he most definitely stands behind the toxic and violent right wing gun culture that is directly responsible for this and gives it credibility right to the top.

Trump and his supporters are people like Dylan Roof. And I am sorry you are triggered by the fact that white nationalists are by far the greatest terror threat to Americans and has been since the 80s.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow According to some of our faulty and lame politicians, the greatest threat we face is CLIMATE CHANGE! It’s not gun violence whether you believe it’s all right wing pushed, or not.
I am a Trump
Supporter, so does that mean I believe in shooting up a church of black church goers?
You paint with a broad brush. Your picture says nothing.

why is Trump still at the forefront ?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ididntknow No, Yes, No..😷
ididntknow · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman So, what’s so good about being a globalist
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ididntknow Globalism made America great. International Trade and finance and using the $US to enhance Americas status, drawing talented people from all over the world turned America into a world leading Super power. Of course, people got selfish and greedy and ruined it all. Now America sponges off the world to the tune of over a $1 Trillion a year that they can never pay back, and would collapse on a year if other countries stopped taking your IOUs. But its still better than a lot of places.. Like Sri Lanka😷
JonathanC · 61-69, M
He is a major contributing factor.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@JonathanC Exactly.
kentex35 · 100+, M
He is probably the most divisive president. Of all time. He told those people to do that and he was going to be right there with them. Shit he lagged back then went back to the WH and watched it on TV laughing
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 If I go to the voting booth and I vote. Then I want my vote to be counted like everyone else Sporter. And after it was counted, I want them to add it up so I can see the result. And whoever wins, wins. And then I go on with my life, I'm not going to demand to change the results becuse I have lost. That's kinda ridiculous. I can live with that descision. Clearly, a lot of people are struggling over there right now. And a lot of that has to do because Donald Trump keeps telling the same lie and can't just accept his defeat.

I found it kinda damning that I've heared a republican senator, pleading to the president during the events in the capitol building. That Trump should make it stop, he's the only person that can make it stop (man, power that the guy has huh), but that he in the same short segment says that apperently senators knew that it was over, but they had to uphold the charade. And that someone working inside the whitehouse as Trumps communicationdirector (Alyssa Farah), actually tells the same thing. That they knew it was over, they lost the election, but they had to keep the people rallied up.

Because they know, they are dealing with a bunch of lemmings Sporter. When they say that they have to keep the charade up, it's because people like you fall for it.

Not One Bit.

When it became the norm for everyone to be special, then that is when this stuff started.

Before 2000, Graduations were after High School and when you finished some sort of Higher Education. Today you have graduations every year from Pre-School on up.

Participation Trophies. Everybody's a Winner!
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@dakotaviper many universities now have segregated graduation ceremonies and segregated student housing.
Separate is never equal but segregation is what some people want I guess .
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@dakotaviper What. Can you like answer the question in a normal manner. 🙂
dakotaviper · 56-60, M
@Zonuss I keep forgetting that it's extremely hard for people like you to understand 'common sense'. I'll try to dumb down my answers for you from now on.
dale74 · M
First of all if that was the case the people that are doing these mass shootings would be Trump supporters but they're not. Second of all how come when there's a gun crime it's the guns fault more people get stabbed in the United States every year they have been forever we don't blame the knife. More people die in car accidents we don't blame the car there are 300 million guns in this country which is actually more than there are cars. If guns were the problem then nobody would be alive. The problem is accountability and respect for life. Modern youth and I would say the average person under 35 does not respect life. And until we have a change in the family structure where people place life I love one another personal accomplishment you're not going to have a change. I hate to tell you this but not everybody deserves a trophy sometimes people shit stinks it's true not everybody should own a gun but that's when you have to have family and friends that step forward and discourage them from ever getting one.

@chockaholic2020 You're wrong. They were held accountable. That's why they were arrested. But you also have to follow the Constitution. Simple. 🙂

I think we can all agree to this. We as a nation cannot afford to have Donald Trump as president of the US ever again. Especially with what is going on in today's world. And there will be more disturbing events to take place very soon..And believe me Trump will be the last person you will want to hear from or see. Mark these words. 🙂🇺🇲

So? Donald Trump is influencing the continual spate of shootings in Detroit and Los Angeles??!!
You're telling us that the sudden rise of drive-by shootings / murders in my City and Many others is a devious plot by the Right Wing Wackado segment under orders from Who?

Grasp at Straws!

Did you Consider the "Lovely 🤗" Job our Doddering 👴🏻Senile Dementia Patient/President has done with the Pandemic, the Failing Economy, Inflation, the Shortages of Product, the Labor Situation, the Free Money Encouraging Laziness, the Fact that [big]No One, especially the Freaking President of the United States, knows what's Going On Now and What Happens Next!!!![/big] Maybe, probably all this turmoil has the Murder Rate Ever Rising?

The Dumbasses with Guns seem to be Affected by BIDEN Too!
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Valerian Under Biden's brilliant administration, Robbers don't need guns at all. They are welcome to just walk in and take the stuff and walk out with no consequences! It's just the people who get their rocks off from killing who need guns to commit crimes. Of course it is the people who are trying to protect themselves and their families that these lunatics are going after!
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Valerian If Obama said the things Trump said while he was President. You wouldn't like it at all. Youre a joke. 🙂
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
indirectly, no doubt. The biggest problem is the number of guns and ammunition, that is more to blame on the NRA. I was an NRA life member. The goal when I joined was safety! Second was marksmanship, not "defense" of your home or allegedly, your home land.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 The original NRA was a great organization with a needed safety focus. Now it is just an extension of the Republican gun fetish culture.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@windinhishair yes indeed!

Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
No, there always been shootings can’t blame one president and not the others
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
@Zonuss ok if you say so.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Jeffrey53 It is so. But you would only defend a loser because you yourself are a loser. And number two do not have the mental capacity to be logical about this discussion at all. 🙂
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
@Zonuss yeah I’m a loser and I don’t have a mental capacity to discuss. Not everyone is smart as you. Not everyone has the same opinion as you. I’m not even defending him. Every president had mass shootings during their presidency it’s the way is.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
I don’t tie it directly back to Trump at all. However, I do see the correlation you’re drawing and don’t disagree altogether.

If Trump could EVER just stfu and just run the country, all would be much better. But, he’d need to really get some honest help with racism. That’s one of the categories that he’s just simply lost in. Another would be his patronizing of the right wing. That’ll never work. He’s got to become more centrist.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 And there in lies the conundrum
@sunsporter1649 Clueless as always. But of course you think magic orange man will save the world from everything.
ididntknow · 51-55, M

@Driver2 A segment of these mass shootings were racially motivated. I think that deserves to be noted.
