How do you feel about “Uncle Toms”?

When a member of the black community seems to disagree with the majority of their community for example if a black member leans right he or she is usually ousted as a race traitor or an Uncle Tom.

Sometimes white people will go as far to calling them that.

What do you think on this situation?

Not too different than white supremacists who call other whites who support black rights race traitors, as far as I’m concerned.

Anyone who thinks a person's views should be governed by the color of their skin is a racist.

@NativeOregonian that doesn’t hold any support of one being racist just because someone else asks it and they may be racist.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@TakingBackMidgard As I said, only racists bring up this issue.

@NativeOregonian That’s no sound logic nor holds any evidence. I respect that you may think that but I’ll tell you now it’s wrong.

Surely in a free country, everybody is entitled to their own views and opinion, no matter what their race, colour, gender or religion?
I think it's ironic that people are still using this stupid term, considering Uncle Tom was the hero of the story and the one trying to help his people, rather than hold them back.

Sounds like a form of control. It also sounds kind of racist tbh like how dare a black person have an unpopular opinion lol

That isn't what people mean by the phrase. Stop being dishonest.

@SW-User these questions are for open discussion and explanations. I would to hear what you have to say about especially if I miss used it

Censorship of individual thought. It's about controlling others.

This is a strawman.

If someone, or a party, attempts to resurrect Jim Crowe, then that's what Blacks, or those who care, reject. This is not an exclusively black thing.

Care to explain why? @Northwest

@TakingBackMidgard I already did

@Northwest that’s a well detailed pin point. And sorry that went over my head the first time.
