What would Abraham Lincoln do?

A couple of quotes for people to consider.
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

"A house divided against itself cannot stand."
Now Abe wasnt perfect. But I cant think of many Presidents who will be as often quoted 150 years after their time as he is.

🙄

On November 16, 1861 President Lincoln signed the Revenue Act, a 3% federal income tax on incomes over $800.

Congress repealed it in 1871.

Back to school, young man.
