Is a war with Iran now inevitable ?

@RodionRomanovitch Unfortunately, this is the case. To kill 150 people, even if the drone was over international waters, would not be an acceptable response, in an international court of law.

Yes, I get it, we can obliterate them, but will Russia, China and the rest of the world stand by? I am thinking about our military and why this idiot would put them in harm's way.

It's not like I don't trust our intelligence agencies, it's the guy presenting the stuff that I don't trust, as up until now, no one has produced the smoking gun. Iran, on the other hand, has produced most of the actual drone that was shot down, and retrieved from its territorial waters, as well GPS coordinates of where it was, when it was hit, and the coordinates of the manned spy plan, with dozens onboard, that was not targeted with Iranian fire.

I never thought I would say this, but there's more reason to trust the Mullahs, over Trump.

And, as I said, why is he having trouble getting any of our allies, to publicly agree with this assessment?

@RodionRomanovitch I think you're right. Iran is different. And while I NEVER thought I'd say this, I tend to believe Iran in relation to that drone being shot down. With Bolton and his gang there I wouldn't put anything past them.

@Ynotisay A British political commentator remarked the other night , that for the first time that he could recall , western allies of the US were treating their version of events as less credible than those coming out of Iran. That's where we are now , and if Trump thought that he had total immunity from the consequences of his lies then he should be at least waking up to the uncomfortable truth now that he doesn't.

@RodionRomanovitch Doesn't surprise me. He's thrown our allies under the bus and what he says is not taken seriously any longer. When/If something very serious goes down that's going to be a real problem.

@Evened The only discernible reason is Trump's pathological desire to tear down all his predecessor's accomplishments. His policy makes no sense by any other measure.

@Zonuss I actually think it might be the opposite. Historically, we don't change Presidents when we're at war. And the more focus on Iran (or the border) the less focus on the criminal in charge.
