Does Biden's flip on the Hyde Amendmant make him look "woke" or just another crass oportunistic politician?

Back in the seventies Biden was anti-Roe -- marching in the annual March for Life, along with Democrats such as Jesse Jackson and Harry Reid (the Democratic Party was the Party of Life back then --it was a WASP Republican Court which did Roe).

But then he took the familiar politically opportunistic cop out "personally opposed to abortion but not going to impose his beliefs on others" and was an earnest supporter of the Hyde amendment (since half of taxpayers are morally opposed to abortion not going to use their money to fund it) and he would try to wear his Catholicism on his sleeve. But now.....

Anything 'dodgy', Biden will be behind it ... 🤔 and his son, his family ... 🤔 what or who else

And why is this political opportunism? It's the approach everyone should be taking. He may also realize that he does not have a uterus, evolved to accept that, and understand that a pregnant woman, should be the only authority on whether an abortion is allowed.
@Northwest The argument that only women have the right to make a decision about abortion is not persuasive to those who oppose abortion because they believe that since the individuals in the class of unborn humans are genetically distinct (which is biologically indisputable) from the mother, they also have rights, and those rights to exist trump the rights of the woman --in whatever way those are defined.
@beckychandler If all a cluster of cells needs to be is biologically distinct from the woman by that metric bacteria have rights.

You do realize that slapping together a few intelligent sounding words in a non coherent fashion, still produces a non coherent response, right?

Opportunistic. The Hyde amendment is disgusting.
@SW-User It is disgusting to you because you passionately believe in abortion and have nothing but utter moral contempt for those who feel otherwise
SW-User
Only half right. I have utter contempt for those who wants to make it illegal. When poor young girls are repeatedly gang raped in Honduras and have to bare and raise the children of those rapes, and I think about people like you, yes, that does make me nauseous. Utter disgust.

@beckychandler How come I send you messages but you never respond?

No moral character at all.

@GoodoldBob I'm not a Democrat either...try again. 😀

@HerKing I dunno .. walks like a duck, talks like a duck ...

@GoodoldBob Nope...I'm not an aquatic avian species.. 🙂
I was not aware that choosing not to be the American ""Christian " Taliban was a cop out.

Becky, I have written you but you never respond. I wonder why?

This could cost him. People might say...if he's elected, what else might he suddenly change his views, beliefs on?
GoodoldBob · 61-69, M
@soar2newhighs Nope. Democrats are brain-washed and will vote a straight Democrat ticket no matter what. He just needs to win the nomination.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@GoodoldBob You don't have to be brainwashed to vote for the only adult on the ticket 🤷‍♂️

He will say whatever he has to say to stay in the hunt whether he believes it or not.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
He's just getting with the times.
