While in England, do you think President Trump should have been sticking his nose into U.K. politics regarding Brexit?

wildbill83 · 36-40, M Best Comment
why not? the brits stick their noses in our business on a daily basis... 🤔
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
Do you need proof that the world isn't flat and that gravity exists while I'm at it?
Platinum · M
No, just your incorrect comment...but you be careful when walking near the edge...you might fall off hit your head and remember not to be so sarcastic...@wildbill83

Christopher Steele, the anti-Trump British national (former MI6) behind the whole "Russian collusion" fiasco. His made up dossier began the whole investigation; and after no evidence was found, he then went to the press to peddle his bullshit.

If a former British intelligent agent turned classified information broker (Orbis Business Intelligence), selling false information to the DNC, in an attempt to slander and defame a sitting president via false allegations of collusion/treason isn't evidence of "Brits sticking their noses in our business", then idk what is...

Fortunately, it's coming back to bite him and the democrats in the ass. Trump is now garnering support to deal with such treasonous bastards on both sides of the pond...

He's a US citizen. His opinion is not valid in the UK so as President of the USA he should have taken a neutral position.
JeanAnna · F
@Peapod I plan to. That's another thing we seem to have in common, the distaste for the moron we call president. lol It's been a fun day, but now I have to log off. Chores are calling my name. Talk next time.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@JeanAnna, I need to sign off too, but stick around. Nice talking to you. 😃
SuperA · 70-79, F
@JeanAnna We both love to laugh. Not many "get" our humor...but just watch!! Well, you know us now. Welcome aboard!! :)
Quizzical · 46-50, M
Well, he is entitled to an opinion of course, as all are...

But there is precious little chance of any of us paying attention to him. He's considered something of a joke across here.
JeanAnna · F
@Peapod The Brits sure think he's nutty and their dislike for him is growing day by day.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@JeanAnna, you know it's bad when even the Brits have these protests!
JeanAnna · F
That's for sure. If walls could talk, I'm sure the royals thought he was very ignorant as well.
Platinum · M
He never poked his nose into brexit, he made comments about a trade deal and said he thought Boris would make a good PM....unlike Obama who did poke his nose in and he lied , saying if we leave we will go to the back of the queue....
Platinum · M
" like you lot " is what you said not me....where are you from@basilfawlty89

@JeanAnna I hope so , lol ,im teasin what he said about one of your mayors ,like he knew what he was talking about .😆 muppet
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
Personally, I don't really care either way - the man's an amoeba - no one with any sense listens to or believes a word he says.. well assuming they can even get what he's saying among his use of great and big every other word.
Of course. America has much experience in matters of a Brexit!

wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@EugenieLaBorgia and at the rate things are going, ours would have taken less time...lol
MartinII · 70-79, M
The US has an interest in future trade deals, so he is entitled to comment. He was far less partisan than Obama, who presumably just accepted a brief from the British Embassy in Washington.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard OK, but I did not say, and do not believe, that Trump is overall less partisan than Obama. And nothing I have said is, or even could be, a lie. It’s all an expression of opinion, with which of course you are welcome to disagree.
@MartinII Do you consider Trump’s “endorsement” of Boris Johnson or his slam of London’s mayor “partisan” ?
MartinII · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard To be honest, I think that’s quite a difficult question to answer. I think his preference for Johnson was a legitimate expression of US interests, though it would have been better expressed in general terms rather than as an endorsement of an individual. I think his attack on Khan was inappropriate.
If he wants the USA to get trade deals instead of someone else.. what’s the problem?
xixgun · M
I think if the fucking press hadn't asked him questions about it, he wouldn't have mentioned it.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@xixgun hmm Trump isn't known for his tact and diplomacy.. he tends to shoot his mouth of without being asked on all sorts of topics.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Valid point but he's clearly hoping to pounce on 'trade' opportunities which the British public need to know.
xixgun · M
@Adaydreambeliever His predecessor was real big on jumping on anything that wasn’t his job too.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
I don't think his comments will be heeded by anybody but a few lickspittles such as Piers Morgan and Nigel Farage, thankfully they have no power.
He's got enough on his plate ruining his own country - no need to start in other countries...
goofypony · 26-30, F
Funny, did you ask the same question when Obama did it in 2016?
DonHobag · M
@goofypony Why? They were gracious and understood protocol and etiquette. True class unlike trump playing on the bones of dead US soldiers
MartinII · 70-79, M
@DonHobag Not at all. Obama made a grotesque and unconsidered intervention in British politics - which of course was counter-productive.
DonHobag · M
No... And the Brits should kicked his fat orange ass out of the country
Fernie · F
No matter where he is or what he does he shouldn't be doing it
Ian123 · 61-69, M
Thats ok its a free country, even he is entitled to his opinion
If I remember the speech - Ms. May said something about looking forward to Brexit and in the same breath babbled about wanting to have the USA as a partner - basically she wants the freedom of leaving the EU but the insurance of being bailed out by the USA - again.

I believe that Trump’s endorsement of Boris Johnson says a lot.

And I remember Trump’s criticism of PM May for her handling of Brexit. Yes, I think Trump has stuck his head where it don’t belong.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
I wish a powerful nation would take charge and sort us out!
Blodyn · 22-25, F
Ok. You have made me feel better! I maybe have listened to the news wrong! @InOtterWords
@Blodyn but there will be civil disturbances because the referendum has clearly divided the country. Both sides are angry, and rightly so, our state has let us down.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
I know. But where will it end? If Scotland goes we won’t stay but there will be troubles. Like my grandfather knew. Setting fire to English holiday homes. Blowing up pipelines. Carrying water to English cities. I have lived in a time free of troubles. Just going to school and now to college. Will my children grow up the same? @InOtterWords
Unless he is giving tips on how to play a pretend billionaire on tv the man should sit in a corner and shut up.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
No, it's nothing to do with him. It's nothing to do with America.
GentlemanGeorge · 61-69, M
His wig distracts me when he talks. But I like Melania. She's funny.. :0)
Things just got messier with Mickey PomPoms talking about actively sabotaging Corbyn.

Yeah... to you, anyone to the right of Mao Zedong is a right-wing hawk. 🤭
@Thinkerbell Actually to anyone outside the USA that is politically literate and a tiny minority of Americans who would not flunk out of PoliSci
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

Of COURSE they'd flunk out of PoliSci, if they didn't toe the lefty professor's party line.

His opinion is not important
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
He is allowed his views and opinions like everybody else, but i would not trust him or brlieve a word he says
Lostpoet · M
No. I don't think Trump knows anything about politics.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
It’s why we will end at war. Irish troubles. The same is here. @Lostpoet
Blodyn · 22-25, F
While in England! Yes in English politics, Not Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast. He has not! He has been a real statesman!
Blodyn · 22-25, F
He has every right. Because you what UK politics is really English politics. Not UK politics.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
The Uk is not England. It’s like saying while Florida will he sort out UK.
Considering what a hash he’s made of his own country, no. He has no basic understanding of what’s going on under the bestof circumstances. The last thing we need is him causing an international incident with our allies.
