Prochoicers say their not just proabortion

But they never call for better laws for the other options like adoption. They never call for easier adoption laws
robb65 · 56-60, M
I saw a question earlier today, someone asked how it was that Canada had a lower abortion rate in spite of their "lax abortion laws". Someone explained that NO, Canada didn't have "lax abortion laws", in fact they didn't have any abortion laws.

What they do have is actual sex education rather than teaching abstenence, birth control is available for free, health care, including maternity care is free, and paid maternity leave for up to a year.

In other words they make it easy to NOT get pregnant, and if you do get pregnant they make it easy to afford to have a child and care for it.

Meanwhile here in Alabama we are going backwards into the dark ages. I'm not in favor of abortions, but I'm not in favor of 12 year old rape victims being forced to carry a baby they didn't want, had nothing to do with creating, and aren't capable of caring for, nor an I in favor of a woman being forced to carry to term a fetus that is severly deformed and has no chance of surviving outside the woumb, nor am I in favor of allowing women to dye from sepsis because the doctors are afraid to remove a dead fetus for fear of the anti abortion laws. There's nothing "prolife" about these recent laws.

In an ideal world women who didn't want a child wouldn't get pregnant, and those who did would have safe pregnancies with no complications. There would be no rapes, nor pregnant children who aren't capable of raising a baby. Until that day I believe abortions should be safe, affordable, and rare.

@robb65 funny my private school had better sex Ed than the public school
UserNameSW · 46-50, M
@Mountainlady16 lack of decent education is part of the problem.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@UserNameSW true but still more teens having sex before marriage
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Mountainlady16 Just so long as their beliefs fall in line with yours.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@Mountainlady16 and there are plenty of organisations that help those groups that are not religious.

The non religious assistance comes free of ulterior motives and preaching.

Who the heck is pro-abortion? 🙄

@Mountainlady16 [c=#BF0000]I'm guessing you don't really have much idea of the severity of some birth defects. Delivering such a baby is like putting it in misery and it's just going to die for a couple days or weeks [/c]
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@SW-User many times the Dr is wrong how many babies are misdiagnosed in utero
SW-User
@Mountainlady16 [c=#BF0000]It comes down to the same thing.. pro-choice.. it's the woman's choice whether she decides to deliver the baby or not despite the medical issues[/c]
PoizonApple · 41-45, F
Pro-lifers sure don't either. Wouldn't that fight be in their favor?
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@PoizonApple my mom is a married mom with 9 kids
PoizonApple · 41-45, F
All 9 were born with syphilis too! What an oozing cunt she must have!
Theliberal · 36-40, M
@Mountainlady16 The whores get very offensive when you don't support their lifestyle. They use abortion as birth control. If they can't murder freely they aren't happy.

Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@Threepio let's get Americans off the streets and out of poverty first
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Mountainlady16 Those people have single digit ages. They can’t break the law, they have no mens rea.

The problem is abortion is 400 dollars, to adopt a child it's between 12 and 15,000 dollars. If they flipped the costs around there's not a woman that would want to abort.
@Theliberal

Well maybe you'd watch your mother or sister or friend die from an unsafe abortion with satisfaction in your heart because she's getting what she deserves.

Not me.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Pikachu He's too edgy to admit it even if he does care lmao 🤷‍♂️

Don't waste your time on 13 year olds, he'll grow up eventually.
@QuixoticSoul

No joke, i think you're probably right about that.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I'm pro abortion. Also pro better adoption laws.

Why don't others just give easier adoption laws if they're against abortion?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@JovialPlutonian I wasn't asking you. I was asking Miss Hypocrite. That said, I can certainly understand where you are coming from.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@OggggO ah cool lol
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@OggggO cause a child deserves a mother and a father not a freak show
UserNameSW · 46-50, M
The antichoice type don't have better ideas
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@UserNameSW it should not be a choice to murder innocent babies
UserNameSW · 46-50, M
@Mountainlady16 no more than shouldn't be forced to risk your life or health
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@UserNameSW life of the mother make up a tiny tiny percentage of abortions
OggggO · 36-40, M
How many pro-lifers call for better SNAP, TANF, and other child welfare laws?
@OggggO Precisely....

Once the baby is delivered it's not their "problem" anymore....
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@OggggO many do but they also expect a person to better themselves not use being a parent an excuse to be a bum
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Mountainlady16 Bull shit.
Graylight · 51-55, F
What are you talking about? What do you think Plan B is? Hint - it's not an abortion pill.

As for apotion, domestic adoption today is more transparent than ever before, and increasingly defined by healthier choices for both birth families and adoptive families.

The fact that more than 18,000 American families successfully adopt newborn babies in the United States every year disproved the myth that domestic adoption is difficult, time-consuming, expensive and risky. The truth is that most families successfully adopt within two years of beginning the process.

Just because we didn't call you up to let you know what we were up to doesn't mean things weren't being improved over the years.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Mountainlady16 Planned Parenthood has trained staff who will counsel you about options for adoption.

Foster care and adoption are two different things, though they cross occasionally. Don't confuse the two.

As for cost, do you have any idea what it cost to have a child? Hospital expenses alone can far exceed those of adoption. Prenatal, delivery-related and post-partum healthcare, can cost, on average, $8,802 accd. to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@Graylight and most insurance cover those costs guess what my husband and I paid for all 3 of our pregnancies less than 500 mostly for meds
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Mountainlady16 That likely wasn't insurance. It was probably taxpayers.

Abortion is a choice. Adoption is a choice. Having a child in the hospital is a choice.

I don't tread on your choice to have society help raise three children who will need social welfare eventually. Don't tread on the choice of women to control their own bodies, even if you've given up control of yours.
They are screaming right now about you probirthers not giving a crap about the child once it is born. You're for stripping out funding of social programs, child services and education. Probirthers have so many babies they take them for granted. Prochoicers have so few they treasure them when they can get them.
katielass · F
They can't even own up to what it is. I'm pro choice but I am under no illusion about what it is, it's the murder of an unborn human being. It's not a frog, it's a live human being.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@katielass yeh kill frogs they're worthless!
😈🔪🐸
Adoption laws? The most effective way to prevent unwanted pregnancy is education, contraception and access to healthcare. Easier adoptions won’t do shit

@Copperhead99 and opinions are like them too everyone got one and they all stink
496sbc · 36-40, M
what about rap though /. would it not be suitable to have an abortion if ur rapped.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@496sbc you mean rape and no cause it's still an innocent child and if you make an exception to rape all these whores be saying they were raped
Allelse · 36-40, M
But if they dont exist then we dont have to worry about adoption laws now do we?
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@Allelse but not every woman is going to abort. They whine about thousands in foster care but do nothing about it. In fact it's been shown prolife people are more likely to foster and adopt
