Is it really true that everything that grows is living, therefore life starts at conception, therefore abortion is murder?
I really don’t think so, but this discussion came from another thread and I didn’t know what to say to that.

Yet, we debate as many have sex with no protection. Why? Not have this talk about protection,then no abortions are needed. We save life, such as Aids, STD's, on and on.

Maybe technically yes. But whether a fetus can feel pain is a different discussion. I think that’s the basis for an abortion to be considered ethical or legal.

@nedkelly I mean, I’m inclined to agree with you, I’m pro-choice, but this guy said abortion was murder, and I said, “Okay, Mr. Knowitall, when does life begin and how do you know?” And he said it starts at conception because that’s when the “baby” starts to grow. Can you think of anything else that grows that we don’t say is alive? I came up with crystals, but crystals don’t perform mitosis.
