ND Cathedral - Presidents speaks for a nation. Ours speaks for himself.

I heard about our illustrious leader’s “suggestion”. 🤦🏽‍♀️
Trump just never seems to miss an opportunity to sound ill-informed and foolish. He needs to stick to what he knows—understanding that it’s really not that much. 🙄

@bijouxbroussard It is the knowledge of a stable genius. 🙄

I thought the president was working for the people. I get this feeling he's thinks we are working for him. Wonder if any illegals work at/ On any of his properties.
@kentex35 Seriously, they used to. A few years back he flew in several workers from Poland for one of his hotels, without quite squaring away their visas. Typically, he threw money at the problem.

it sounds like he wasn’t updated on why his proposed solution wasn’t already in play. he often sounds uninformed.

Thank goodness that Macron was there to lead the nation in time of grief. Had something similar happened in the US, Trump would be dividing the nation repeating Fox conspiracy theories and looking for someone, anyone, to blame.

@LvChris Nothing would surprise me any more.

I thought the flying water tankers is up there in the 'Things that Trump says or tweets that show is complete lack of knowledge about anything that isn't him"
Milkshake · F
its fuckign amazing how our president always manages to say the stupidiest thing possible
He did say it's horrible.

It doesn't sound like much, but he didn't respond like Glenn Beck did this time and immediately start talking about Muslim arsonists.

@MistyCee must have slipped his unhinged mind
@MistyCee And it’s sad that this is the most positive thing that can be said. “At least this time he didn’t sound quite like a xenophobic, paranoid nut”.

Yeah... Every time I spot the difference... Even here I heard people screaming (like donald dumb) "where are the canadairs?!" c'mon...
xRedx · M
I don't see why this is so terrible if I'm being honest.
Ynotisay · M
@xRedx Thanks for the correction on "hate" but I choose my words carefully and don't need the help. Particularly from an apologist.
And kid? Trump doesn't act in 'good faith.' That's not how he rolls. If you don't see that you're choosing not to.
xRedx · M
@windinhishair so saying they should put out the fires quickly isn't in good faith? Don't talk about the past, we're talking about what he said regarding the ND cathedral fire.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@xRedx Tankers would have destroyed the stone structure. The French aren't stupid like the president is. It isn't obvious they should put the fire out as quickly as they can? It is not a good faith response in any way. And yes, you have to look at the past for this president because it informs about his current aberrant behavior. Any other person making the same statement the president made would be criticized as well. The French had a reasoned response to Trump's self-serving bullshit.

Well, all I can say is that's the Donald at his best. 🙄
