Personally, I think they have too much power and access. It very much reminds me of the actual point behind the film, "Fight Club".
The central point of that film was that the credit bureaus not only have access to too much of our personal information, but too much power over our lives as well. Why does a company need to run my credit report if I'm applying for a job? I'm not asking for a loan or credit, I'm offering my time and labor for compensation.
