Probably not. However they will contribute to the ideas that motivate the shooters.

I was thinking one or two of the Australian SW'ers might go that direction.

I'm surprised every time mass-violence occurs and it ISN'T from SW. Last was the MAGA bomber, and we were kinda trying to guess, which SW right-winger HASN'T logged on? When the news broke the shooter was Australian, I had a few guesses!

But more seriously, the talk on some other social media sites is way more vitriolic, which I guess means... talk is cheap. On the other hand, you have to realize that this shooter just "anonymous shitposter" on 4chan. So I guess sometimes people DO mean what they say... and when they don't, as said by someone else, their words inspire others.

There are a couple SW right-wingers who seem to be capable of extreme violence.

There was one I was talking to who was really far gone. A middle aged guy who called himself an ethno nationalist and a classical liberal. He openly said Tommy Robinson should bomb Mosques and so on.

The guy in question was an American but we Brits have nutters too. One killed an mp during the Brexit ref and the finnsbury Park bomber said he wanted to murder Corbyn.

I´ve reported years ago one famous and well-known user here to the Admins. After reporting him I´ve blocked him. Why? Because he has written that "all Muslims we are meeting on the road should be killed." 😡

I doubt it. Mass shooters are extremely rare, and the Similar Worlds community is fairly small.

Most of them are waiting for others to set up concentration camps so they can be the guards.

I tell myself that SW helps, that it gives people a way to vent their frustrations and problems in a way that can help them. I'm big on denial.

Nope. Just because your political beliefs are extreme, it doesn't mean that you want to kill people. Especially if you are from the western world. I think to massacre a bunch of people because they are from another race, they have a different religion, or political view, you have to be mentally ill. At least.
