How can you tell a politician wants to get away from his scandal?

Canada's Justin Trudeau is in the midst of scandal with possible criminal charges against him. He made a very early morning statement in Ottawa and flew to Iqaluit. Except the weather was below minimum in Iqaluit and he landed 1400 kms away in Goose Bay. So when did they find out that the weather was below minimum? Likely before leaving Ottawa.

Sorry but this doesn't even make sense. The Arctic is permanently at negative temps year round. And it makes no sense that landing somewhere because of weather conditions would result in a criminal case. There is nothing here that makes any sense.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The potential crime is pressuring the Attorney General to go easy on a very corrupt company that has close personal ties to the PM and his underlings. The Prime Minister is getting all kinds of questions thrown his way and has even had a venue he planned to speak at withdraw its invitation. He really really wants to turn the page so he had planned to go to the arctic to apologize to the locals for sins committed against them in the 1940s. He gave an early morning presser then jumped on the plane to go north. The weather was bad so rather than return to Ottawa and face the press he landed in Goose Bay which is about 1400 kms away from where he intended.
