Die Hard Trump Supporters

I’ve come to realize that die hard Trump supporters are as ignorant of reality as the PC Left. They praise Trump for declaring a national emergency, while conveniently ignoring that he just signed a bill that allows for less border security, more releasing illegals into the country, including criminal aliens. This is a betrayal. He said he would let the government shut down again if he wasn’t happy with the bill. He wasn’t happy with the bill (neither were his supporters), but he signed it anyway. Despite him signing a lose-lose deal for the safety of our country, many of his supporters are ignoring this betrayal.
It’s true. People believe what they want to believe, even when its to their detriment. I wonder how “Angel” parents are feeling now? Trump just lost my vote, and my faith in him.

You know its nice when Trump believers come to realize the truth that they have been blinded from for so long. I congratulate you for doing so.

@Carissimi you don't support obamacare?
SW-User
@lizzy96 Defintely not the individual mandate. Most of it, yes.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Of course not. It’s a scam. I filled in forms last year. I was to pay a monthly premium that I couldn’t afford. I was also to pay a deductible that was so high that unless I suffered a major catastrophe, my health insurance would never kick in, which in practice meant even though I was paying the premium every month, I would still have to pay for all my health care and prescriptions myself. There were two columns on that application. One for American citizens (which I am), and one for anyone here illegally. Those here illegally got the same benifits as citizens with one difference....they paid $0.00. No premiums. No deductibles. That’s Obamacare. @lizzy96

No offense but if you really had faith in Trump to begin with then whatever disappointment you feel now is all on you.
Carver · 31-35, F
@Carissimi Lol, terrible analogy. But I guess I see your point. I can say I was willing to give him a chance as well but I also managed my expectations. I think you should have as well. Oh well, better you realize this late than never.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
You don’t get it. I was never a died hard Trump supporter, but I did support him. Gloat if you like, but I don’t understand why you do so. Oh well...never mind. Maybe it makes you feel superior. I really don’t care. @Carver

@Carissimi I’m not gloating or making myself out to be superior at all but whatever. 🙄

I still would have rather had him then Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders though. We'd all be piss broke and end up like Venezuela by now. If people like them were in charge.

Welcome to reality.

Just now come to realize this?

It is true. People believe what they want to believe, even when confronted with evidence that their belief is factually incorrect.

However, do bear in mine: There are two different lefts, and their fighting each other. One is pathetic and cares about feelings over all. These are authoritarian leftists. The other, libertarian leftists, like myself, actually give a shit about people's reality.
SW-User
@Carissimi Then you are smarter than many conservatives. Its refreshing to hear a conservative actually say its just about policies, even if we disagree.

On the policies, that is.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Politics are always about values and issues to me. @SW-User
Carissimi · 70-79, F
@SW-User With most people on the Left, it’s usually about feelings and not reason or logic, although there are those on the Left - the Weinstein brothers, and some others - who I respect, but also disagree with on policy.

That line in "The Art Of The Deal"---"if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it," clearly shows his character.
i thought he signed a big check so government would stay open. then declaired "fuck you' dems and plans on building the wall with funds elsewhere?..
@lizzy96 yeah.. ive been scrolling news articles all morning.. nothing describes what trump decided this week as accepting shitty dems deal..

narrative..
Carissimi · 70-79, F
The reports I’ve read, say the bill he signed has allowed for less border security with the release of more illegals into the country because there will be less beds at detention centers. Also, he has signed away some of his own executive powers. This national emergency will be shut down by the courts, like everything else he does is shut down by some Leftist court. Great, if it’s not, but he signed the bill. Notice how the Democrats are happy and smiling? They won. Trump caved...again. @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout

@Carissimi Could you link the report? Im curious.

Let's not forget Trump and his siblings tricked their father into giving them his property when their father refused to give it to then in the first place because of their behavior.
