A case study in hypocrisy ?

By branding all , and any , criticism of Israel from the left as anti-semitic , while at the same time turning a blind eye to supporters who are clearly of that persuasion , and encouraging the behaviour itself by passing on anti-semitic memes about George Soros and the global elites etc. ( Stand up Kevin McCarthy , Donald Trump et al). Is the outrage real or are we just being gaslighted once again ?

@RodionRomanovitch Not a fan tbh mate. Rawsley spent the first two years or corbyn undermining him on the grounds that he was unelectable. Now corbyn has done better than expected, he advocates a party split/third party which would make Labour lose an election.

There are big divisions in each party, that much is clear. What Rawsley advocates would be a classical liberal 'centre' party which would be pro austerity and hawkish on foreign policy but liberal on cultural issues and PRO EU. Like the Orange book lib Dems, Blair or Cameron. It'll sicker enough young progressives to keep corbyn out of number ten but our electoral system means it has no chance of forming a government.

@Burnley123 I think the wider point he's making is that it's one fucking big mess (not to put too fine a point on it 😟 ) and nobody really has the will or the wit to extricate ourselves from it to anybody's satisfaction.

@RodionRomanovitch On that I agree but it's not all Rawsley is saying. The forces of the Labour right used Brexit as an excuse for the coup after the Brexit ref and they are now planning a breakaway party, like the sdp of 1983

@Burnley123 As he points out though , that way inevitably leads to failure , so what could they really hope to gain , unless just the threat itself leads to Corbyn being toppled ?

@RodionRomanovitch I think they hate corbyn and his brand of politics as much as they hate the Conservatives.this is not true of all Labour MPs but it is true of the minority who are talking about splitting.
