@hippyjoe1955 In the case of what's going on in the states, because there [i]are[/i] human rights for individuals who are seeking asylum in the states (e.g. Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees) then those rights should not be violated. But just because those human rights are being ignored doesn't mean those rights just magically disappear.

@SW-User Human rights don't exist. They can be created and removed at the whim of the government. The UN is a trouble maker not a helpful arbiter of good vs evil. Each country must have the authority to determine on its own who is a refugee and who is not.
