It's amazing that the dems. changed their stance after our President agreed with them
WoodyAq · M
@MarineBob 😂

How about Trump's defense of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan? Make you proud?
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
@MarineBob

It's because their arguments are vacuous.
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq

That's the best you can do? Might as well not even try then.
WoodyAq · M
@AlienZipper It's strange how unconcerned Republicans are that their leader spontaneously spouts Soviet propaganda 🤔
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq

Nice try...keep digging in that sewer hole. I'm sure you'll be able to find something useful one day...
WoodyAq · M
@AlienZipper You only have to dig for stuff that's below the surface ...

@WoodyAq

You're assuming that I'm on board with everything Trump says, but I'm not.

At the same time, Schumer and Pelosi have had their heads stuck up each other's asses for so long no one can tell one from the other. They're about as two-faced and hypocritical as they come.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The President has accurately pointed out that the Afghanistan invasion effective,led to the demise of the Soviet Union “which is now just Russia”. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@AlienZipper I'm assuming you're deliberately ignoring stuff that requires more attention and a better explanation than it has gotten.

Chuck and Nancy are who they are, as is Trump. When the issue was put to public in November, their position came out 8 million votes ahead.
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson "They were right to be there."
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq

I'm not ignoring anything.

And let those supposedly 8 million come down here and live with the reality of dealing with the economic and other effects of illegal immigration. Then get back to me...
WoodyAq · M
@AlienZipper Oh. My mistake. I see nothing in your comments that engaged with this strange Russian propaganda, just stuff that was very dismissive of it. Hence my impression that you are trying to ignore it.

As for your second point, in which you think your voice should count for more in our federal democracy than the rest of your fellow Americans... I'm not sure I can get back to you on that.
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson Hold up! I thought that it was Ronnie Reagan who caused the demise of the USSR. By outspending them on military capability. That's what all the war-hawk Repubs like to peddle is it not 🤔
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
There was no such referendum. Split decision. Dems gained house seat republicans. Gained senate seats. Afghanistan has been a disaster. But you miss the point that actual citizens have been suffering for decades. @WoodyAq
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The Soviet Union dies for a variety of reasons including their Afghanistan errors, spending errors, abusing satellite errors, the list goes on. @room101
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq

There may or may not be something to the propoganda; you seem awfully worked up about it.

And get some new glasses sir. I NEVER said my voice should count more than the rest of my fellow Americans.

What I'm saying - pay attention this time - is that it's easy for people who don't have to live with the myriad of issues surrounding illegal immigration to vote the way they do.

It's easy to say that stuff and vote that way when you don't have the problem parked on your doorstep.
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson Not as far as your liar-in-chief is concerned. He just rambled on as incoherently as ever about Afghanistan 😂😂😂
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Democrats won more of seats in both houses (they won 25-10 in the Senate) Democratic candidates in both houses had more votes than Republicans.

And the issue isn't Afghanistan, it is that we have a president spouting Russian propaganda.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Zero ramblings in the succinct nine minute factual summary. @room101
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
So what? The house has more members. The republican increased control of the Senate. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Republican senate candidates won 10 seats. Democrats won 25 seats. The combined votes for Democrats was much higher than for Republicans.
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Yeah. That's a record for the president. Which is a sad fact.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Check your history my friend. The Senate increase negates your claim. @WoodyAq
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Nah, republicans were very lucky with the map this time around, it would have been something truly extraordinary if they lost seats.

2020 is not looking so hot at all though, for the same reason.
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson The map doesn't change the math. 35 seats in play, Republicans won 10. With millions of fewer votes than Democrats.
