If you were being sworn into office, what book or document would you place your left hand on?

For me, it would be either the AP or the Chicago style manual.

I would take the US Constitution, hand it over to an ethnically/gender/religious diverse people, explain that the original authors, though brilliant, were gender/race/religion biased, nix in all the amendments, and produce a single work. Then use that to get sworn in.
