Discussing Trump’s character is like a discussion of antimatter. He’s a void and has navigated through his life without the need of any discernible character, so I don’t think his character (or lack of) will be a determining factor in where he ends up. His character was on full display in 2015-2016, and enough people decided that his character didn’t matter that he was awarded the GOP nomination and ultimately the presidency. He is immune from any norms and any consequences.

I believe that wholeheartedly. It’s not like Trump has ever even pretended to be a decent human being. His transparent narcissism and blatant disregard for anyone else is probably the most honest thing about him. It was no mystery who he was when he was elected, which is why I shake my head when I hear others who are consistently shocked and appalled by him. He’s been consistent since the day he rode down that escalator. @RodionRomanovitch

If character is destiny, he'll be impeached and removed from office for his crimes, then indicted and convicted of both federal and state charges, and serve hard time. There is little doubt that Melania will divorce him as soon as he is out of office. He'll go down in history as the worst president in our history, and his presidency will be studied for hundreds of years as an example of how a population can be so misled as to elect someone with no moral compass to the highest office.

@WalksWith Trump is a two-dimensional caricature of himself. You know how even today, a cartoon or a picture will show a man with a short black mustache as a clear reference to Hitler? He's become a caricature. A hundred years from now, a fat man with orange skin and combed-over hair will be the caricature for a criminal who is all talk and no substance. A "Trump" will be a noun for such a person.
