MSNBC host Chris Matthews thinks Trump might resign soon.

According this guy, who is not a fan of Trump it must be said, Trump can see the investigations getting closer to his Children and will likely step down to save them from prosecution, because they wont roll over on him the way everyone else has.
But I disagree completely.
First, I dont see Trump stepping down for save anyone. He will throw his kids under a bus just like everyone else.
Second and here is where the plot thickens. I think his kids will roll on him just like everyone else. They have the Trump ethic through and through. And probably the only person who cant see it is Donny...
I wonder if Melania can find a divorce lawyer who will work over the holidays?🤔

I don't think he'll resign,for one thing he is not in touch with reality and I don't see the Senate impeaching him

I agree with you that I don't see a resignation coming any time soon. I see Trump putting increased pressure on his enablers to get rid of Mueller and the investigation before the report is released. Once that is accomplished, he'll keep the palace guards in place protecting his presidency from all assaults. He could be impeached in the House, but Senate Republicans will continue to support him even as more and more evidence of his criminality leaks out.

Unless there is a seismic shift in the background, the Republicans next problem is to work out whether they want the disaster of a repeat of the Mid terms by going to the people with Trump as their Presidential candidate next time. Or the disaster of replacing him as a candidate and facing the backlash from a quarter of their voters. Then, if not indicted, would he run as an independent? Interesting times.
