Grinchy UPS Makes Bonehead Christmas Move In Attempt to Say They'll Save Parents a Stamp

UPS Store Twitter account gets heat for icy tweet on letters to Santa
@TheUPSStore, the official Twitter account for retail locations of the shipping company, may have set some sort of bleak record for the most Grinch GIF (pronounced “jif”) replies after tweeting out what some users thought deserved a big lump of coal.

“If your child addresses a letter to the North Pole, you can leave it with us,” the Sunday afternoon tweet read. “We do shredding.”
According to the Smithsonian:
Letters with postage and an address of the North Pole or Santa Claus are usually routed to one of 15 regional post offices that participate in Operation Santa. Volunteers who live in the vicinity of those 15 locations pick out a letter to answer (all personal identifying information is removed) and buy a gift for the child, which they bring to the post office. It is then delivered by the USPS. Thousands of other post offices participate, but postal employees only respond to letters; they don’t send gifts, says USPS spokeswoman Darleen Reid-DeMeo.
Apparently, you'd prefer NO kids get the free presents.
