A federal judge in TX says Obamacare is "unconstitutional". Likelyhood the ACA will be upheld by the supreme court?

I think fairly likely as repealing it would affect a lot of people, and Chief Justice Roberts generally wants to preserve the perceived integrity of his court.

Given the precedent already set, it's very likely the ACA will be upheld.

On what grounds? The ACA already went to the SC once and made it out.
@Xuan12 the federal mandate. He says it's unconstitutional, and therefore the entire law is unconstitutional. The federal mandate is no longer in effect, so I don't understand the relevance.

@GohantheThird Yeah...that's a stretch. Probably going to die further down in the court system.

He made the right call on the mandate but since the penalty was reduced to zero dollars it was pyrrhic victory. There is some precedent though if it is left that Congress has the right to abuse the tax code that way and force a product on people.

Obamacare should have never happened. It just made a bad situation way worse.
