@tropicaltiger Who exactly are you referring to? Stalin’s cadre and allies didn’t do very well, actually.

Hell, he killed most of them himself.
Those people are what we call "morons".
Lostpoet · M
Wtf. Who thinks Stalin was a hero? He lost the war.
Lostpoet · M
@QuixoticSoul I guess he started the cold war though that a-hole.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Lostpoet Not exactly true either. The failures in ww1 brought Lenin to power, and he immediately started working on getting the country out of it. He inherited a loss, so to speak, and had a civil war at home to worry about. Which he won.
Lostpoet · M
@QuixoticSoul thank you dude.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
If you're from his country you most likely know someone he murdered so you have that in common.
Mariocrespo8546 · 31-35, M
@FreeSpirit1 did Fidel Castro kill people
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@FreeSpirit1 Those numbers are laughable folks. Laughable. And yes, I’ve lost family in the gulag system, and some had to “self-dekulakanize” during collectivization (read, abandon their farms and livestock and run in the middle of the night). I have no illusions here.

But were those numbers anywhere close to true, Soviet demographics would have been nothing like they were, and post-ww2 USSR would have been an empty wasteland.
TheConstantGardener · 56-60, M
Because he led his country to victory over Nazi Germany.
Mariocrespo8546 · 31-35, M
@TheConstantGardener I thought Germany was friends with Russia
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@PrivateHell 20 million 😂

Why not a bajillion?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Mariocrespo8546 Not at all. German/Soviet War was inevitable, but Stalin was trying very hard to play for time.
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
I saw an elderly Russian woman on the news many years ago. They asked her the difference between communist Russia and Capitalist Russia.

She said "in Communist Russia I queued for bread for 7 hours. Now I have no bread"

And that's why he's a hero. I'm guessing. Other than that I got nothing to say on this.
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@QuixoticSoul Moscow could be worth visiting for the architecture, I could possibly even brave cold weather for lovely architecture.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@KaiserSolze It’s hot as shit in the summer, go then 😂
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@QuixoticSoul oh lol - thanks for the tip 😂
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
I really don't know why people like any ruler. We followed inbreds for the entire last half of the human race so you got me there 🤷‍♀️
TexChik · F
Stalin? He murdered millions of his own people “ after” disarming the population for public safety.
SW-User
He's not a hero.

He is right beside Hitler in Hell.

Bc he has a big bushy tash
Dan193 · 26-30, M
Even some of their people think he was a despot.
Dan193 · 26-30, M
@QuixoticSoul Maybe the russians that moved abroad are aware of that, that started reading and researching it. Or maybe those are the ones that researched it and emmigrated.
But you have to realize that it's a matter of pride on their part, as well as their televized propaganda and their twisted history books. Do you really think that there is anywhere in their history books written about Stalin killing over 20 million russians in war? All that they teach them is that they won, russian pride and that the west is the devil.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Dan193 Stalin killed 20 million Russians in war? When?
Dan193 · 26-30, M
@QuixoticSoul There are statistics about it. You can look into it. Also he'd kill his own party members and supporters, because he was affraid they'd try to take his power.
Why do you think he was a tyrant?
iQuit · F
Research and question those who are more aware of the subject

Here's a lengthy link with the history that is Stalin maybe it'll answer your question.

He was an unspeakable evil bastard, but he was our bastard. He came out first in tne war of the worsts
When he was at his height, Russia was the world power. No one could stop the red army. National pride I guess
revenant · F
He was the champion of the oppressed
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M

revenant · F

Ignorance and delusions. The hammer and sickle is not much different than the swastika in effect as history has repeatedly demonstrated.
