I think Theresa May just needs a hug tbfh

Whatever she does, she can’t win. She knows her deal is terrible but knows the people who think she could’ve done better are lying.
Brexit was always going to fall apart when it was fixed and written down, rather than being an abstract fantasy. I wish we’d never had the referendum in the first place.

May is an evil person. She's callous in her disregard for the lives of the people she's supposed to be representing, and has been throughout her career. I will never feel sorry for her.

Every decision she's made as home secretary and prime minister has had one of two purposes:

1) Cut something from the already disenfranchised and voiceless.

Or

2) keep herself in a position of power.

@CheshireCatalyst You might call her callous but she's not evil. This isn't America.

I agree about Brexit being an abstract fantasy but I don't feel sorry for May.

She got herself into this position by promoting things she couldn't deliver and prolonging the Brexit fantasy long after she must have realised it was untenable. She put her survival as PM over the national interest.

@room101 They campaigned for Remain.
room101 · 51-55, M
@Burnley123 Thanks. Maybe it's just me but, it feels like they haven't been particularly clear, or indeed coherent, about their stance since the referendum.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@room101 I agree, Labour's stance has been a fudge.

Theresa has just picked up the pieces left by David Oxford Boy Cameron. Who left hours after the referendum didn’t go his way. She has done the best she can. But I do believe there should be a second referendum now we know what we are talking about. I was 16 when the referendum took place but now I am old enough to vote. And I am a European!
Blodyn · 22-25, F
I know Windrush is brought up because she was Home Secretary. I have no idea what hostile environment refers to. @AndrewtheAlu
@Blodyn her immigration policy. Make it harder and harder for those foreigners. She says they shouldn’t feel they are welcomed. See her brexit speeches - she shrieks and shivers with enthusiasm when she mentions an end to freedom of movement as her main benefit to her brexit plan. That’s all she cares about and I can’t stand it.

The hostile environment policy started because of her as Home Secretary. Windrush was only the result of it. Rightful British citizens being illegally deported because of her desperation to deport anyone who isn’t British.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
I have no idea. I only seen her as Prime Minister. @AndrewtheAlu

Don't forget that Theresa May was a Remainer and that she inherited this shitshow after Cameron abdicated his responsibilities.

Put it this way, if I lived in her constituency, I doubt that I would vote for her in any pre-referendum election. However, given the impossible task that she has to deal with and, given that I can't think of any other politician that could solve this mess, yeah, I do feel a lot of sympathy for her.

Not sure that I'd give her a hug though. Her attempts at dancing freak me out no end 😂😂😂
@room101 yeah I wasn’t offering to be the one 😂

Disagree with your view on Brexit. Just get on with it, and go with a no deal Brexit if necessary. We can trade under WTO rules as we already do with the rest of the world. British business leaders need to man up, stop whinging and adapt.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@SW-User We don't trade at WTO rules with the rest of the world. We have agreements with all major countries and some of them are negotiated through the EU.

Like it or not, entangling ourselves from the EU is a complex process, within which we have limited power. A no deal Brexit is not something we are prepared for and would mean a very major recession. It would mean many major companies leaving the country.

Its easy for you to tell others to man up and adapt when you have no command of the details and could not solve any of these problems.
Maggie.. I love ya
Tho you’ve got cast iron balls,
youre tough as nails and cold as steel, and you’re in there boots an all.
But way out here it’s lonely,
So any ole thing will do..
And what you done to England..
I’d love to do to you 😁
