How plausible is it that the military has seized control of the fed?

@Peaceful The stock market has been going up (or at least not down) for the past two years after they claimed they'd be reversing QE (i.e. selling off trillions in securities) and hiking rates. It just doesn't make a lick of sense unless they're keeping effective interest rates low via inflation and expanding their balance sheet instead of shrinking it. I can't see a good reason for the banks to keep the party going for Trump.
