Are russians unhappy in Russia?

I have a russian friend who recently came to me by me teleporting him without consent.
He begged me to not teleport him back even though i was strapping him down, not letting him go.
After a psychic analysis to check for possible brain damage from the teleportation spell, he told me that being with me is the best experience in his life and that he has never been this "wealthy".

So... is it really THAT bad in Russia?

This man confused me enough that i let him go and is currently emptying my fridge, eating all of my food. It is amusing to watch but i would like to know what caused these symptoms.
