What are your opinions on taxation?

Taxes are the way a society functions. Money is put into the coffers and used for the greater good. That said, I think we could do a lot better on how much is paid in and what the taxes are used for.

im a fan if its spent on whats its meant to be spent on..
essential services , roads, hospital, schools, police, etc etc..
when youre borrowing it. to give away or waste it on social issues associated with personal choices.. its theft.

All for it. Price of civilization.

Yes,pay them ,we need them to pay for services that benefit the public

It should be on consumption rather than income or property, and lower than it is in any country.

It is necessary. Though sometimes it is levied in unwise ways.

If you want to know what it's like to live without taxation, just look around at the countries which don't charge income tax on it's citizens. Most of them are called Third World Countries. You don't have to look further than the Bahamas to realize that low tax (or no tax), means low standard or (no standard) of living.

The highest taxed nations in the world are also the nations with the highest standards of living.

Depends on the type and amount to be honest. Property tax is flat out immoral theft IMHO for example.
