You really need to read up about the creepy, whacky things that Turkey has been doing in Syria, trying to destroy our allies, the Kurds, and you also need to realize that Turkey and Saudi Arabia are huge enemies.

Turkey doesn't want the US to be the ally of their enemy. Saudi Arabia is no bargain, either, but at least (so far) they haven't stabbed us in the back like Turkey.

When you know the history of the Turkish people, who are the worst back stabbers in history going back to the days of the Ottomans, you know that you don't just want to take their word for anything. They would definitely lie if it served them. So we need verification of everything they are saying. SUPER verification.
