Can NASA sue the Flat Earth Society for defamation of character if they can prove the Earth is round and they didn't fake the moon landing

1) In US, anyone can sue for anything.. whether or not that they'll win is a different story

2) To win the case, Nasa would also have prove damnages, most specifically financial damnages to win, which honestly might not be there because Nasa has a large budget and not many have pay attention to the flat Earth

3) The lawyers cost, time and effort might be more than any financial gain they might win.

So yes they can, but it'd probably be stupid if they tried

It can be easily proven that the Earth is not flat. If it was, cats would have knocked everything off the edge already.

@windinhishair 😂😂😂
No because the flat earth society doesnt really harm nasa is any way so there’s no grounds to sue for defamation which is either slander or libel. Most public figures/entities have an extremely hard time proving defamation because of the burden of proof needs to show actual malice.

I love flat earthers. Finding yet another way to poke a hole in their theories is a good mental exercise.

No one outside of flat Earthers even take flat Earthers seriously.
