Once China takes over as the Superpower, what differences will we notice?

Personally I almost look forward to there being less religion in politics.
The dollar store will be selling things made in the USA
@whowasthatmaskedman So what the Chinese are planning ahead - what do you think we are doing ? I know you hate America so you will say anything.

I don't hate America. I do have issues with the way that big business influences politics. And All democracies are limited by the electoral cycle and public opinion. Long term planning is severely handicapped by those things. China doesn't have those problems.. This is not about knocking America.@MarmeeMarch
@whowasthatmaskedman yep big business are clearly in bed with politicians

I don’t think China would really care that much about other nations’ internal politics, and importance of religion, etc. Doubt you’d see much change there.

At the international level, relations are already very pragmatic, and religion is generally a pretense at most.

I think that things would look largely the same day to day, but our economy would degrade severely. We extract untold benefits from our status, having the world’s reserve currency, etc.

Agreed.. As long as there is a profit and not too many trouble makers the Chinese are rather good at allowing the Status Quo.@QuixoticSoul

In the case of America the artificial floor holding the economy would have to be removed, leading to a rebalancing, downward. The mechanism and how severe is unknown of course. And I think a censored internet would be a reality worldwide. The new social credit experiment, to offer bonuses to good citizens is interesting.@QuixoticSoul
We, the U.S., might be in a world of shit. The Dragon is ascending, and are not forgetting the humiliation they suffered at the hands of foreigners and colonial powers. Follow the news...they're on the move, and challenging us everyday, especially in the areas of who controls certain oceans, who has legitimate rights to certain islands...and starting to harass our naval ships. One of theirs came within 45 yards of an American naval ship. Dangerous!
There will be infinitely more noodles in the world
