More leftist hypocrisy

As if we needed more examples

Northwest · M
You don't miss anything, do you?

You're more than 6 years late to the hate party. This came up, during his 2012 campaign. It was never buried. He talked about it, did not try to deny or cover it up. He did not have his political party collect signature, from 65 truck drives, who swore that he did not hit their car, while legally intoxicated.

Are you getting the picture? No?

No one is saying that high school and college kids, should be barred from the Supreme Court (and you seem to be confusing the SCOTUS with an elected PARTISAN office). People are saying that you don't lied about it and try to cover it up, to the point where you're lying, while providing testimony, under oath, to the Senate.

Are you getting the picture now?

@Sniper
but my argument clearly has you beat and frustrated. Plus my phone doesn't always put in the apostrophe.

But your confused ravings come only from yourself.
Yet, you're the one who made typos the ONLY issue. Think about that for a minute, if you can.

I'm sure, in your own mind, you're unbeatable, but to the rest of the world, it looks like you showed up unarmed, to a battle of wits.

Here's one, that's more appropriate, for your case:

@Sniper Said the man who called others "libtards."
Graylight · 51-55, F
O'Rourke was already found out and adjudicated. Kavanaugh (allegedly) has not been.

O'Rourke hid nothing and has talked openly about the facts of his arrest. Kavanaugh denies he drank to excess and ever had sex in school.

One faces the truth, has paid the consequences and has moved on. One hasn't.

Is this really that hard?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Sniper Again, I don't care whether the allegations are true, though if they are I certainly hope he pays his price.

I care that he's been caught lying not once but several times. I care that he attacked what he considered to be the "opposition party," though it's members of that party whose lives he'll be holding partially in his hands on the bench. I care that he cries when recalling old glory days of weightlifting and yells when he's unsatisfied with proceedings. He's shown himself to be far from 'above reproach.' I'll remind you, too, that the positions O'Rourke and Kavanaugh seek are vastly different in their scope and requirements.

As for the Beatles, I don't know what to tell you. I never cared much about them one way or the other.

@Sniper Wtf are you talking about? My profile is the same it's been since the first week I created it. It's certainly never said anything about the Beatles. I think you have me confused with someone else. And take note of the 'f' after my name.

I think we should all be asking ourselves WHY Congress has a special fund to pay off female staff members when they have been sexually harrassed by their bosses.
@4meAndyou this sounds like it deserves its own post, actually.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Back in the late 90's I came across a list of Congressional members and their history of crimes listed by name and it was rather shocking considering how they get catered to and put up on a pedestal.
katielass · F
@cherokeepatti I've seen a list like that before. Shocking.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@katielass An Oklahoma lawmaker got sent to prison here recently for hiring a teen boy to be his prostitute. Got caught in a hotel room with him after the boy's father followed him there and watched. The father had no idea it was a lawmaker the boy was with, the boy had been having problems with drugs and the father started keeping an eye on him.

@Sniper,'speak.' This whole topic and one typo is what you're going to concentrate on?
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@Sniper You're really grasping at straws with this one. Someone calls Kim a "known dictator", and you try to stretch that into saying there's some kind of perception of doubt?
4meAndyou · F
@Xuan12 I interpreted that post a bit differently. When I saw the misspellings in the quote area, and the comment at the bottom, I interpreted it as saying that the liberal who posted the quote was stupid and crazy, and that therefore all liberals are stupid and crazy. If the author of the post would clarify, it would help.

Beto O'Rourke's history is and should be a factor when deciding whether to vote for him, just as Kavanaugh's sexual assault lies under oath should be a factor into whether to trust him with a lifetime appointment. By the way, Beto was arrested but never charged on the burglary.

@Sniper I don't have access to the FBI report, so I don't know what it contains. It is clear that Kavanaugh lied repeatedly during his testimony, on his yearbook entries, his calendar, his drinking. Even if his behavior cannot be proven to be criminal on sexual assault, his persistent lying under oath is disqualifying.

You really think this is the best nominee? I'm sure one of the others on the list would be just as draconian without the baggage.

I critized O'Rourke about that DUI issue.

Also his comments about the national anthem controversy.

So stop painting all of us on the left with one brush.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
A person who is freely elected by the citizens he represents while having his past discretions as matter of public record is very different from appointing someone that would hide the fact that they sexually assaulted someone to the highest source of justice in the land. A position that is supposed to be none partisan by the way. Besides, does he like beer?
katielass · F
@Dolimyte Well, don't worry about it dear, if that ever happens he won't get far.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@katielass I'm not sure what you mean. If what happens, who won't get far?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I mean, everyone in politics is a hypocrite. You hide your own weaknesses and attack your opponents'.

That said the Democratic Party protects some real fucking scumbags and always has. Bill Clinton shouldn't be allowed in public considering all the allegations against him, not to mention his association with Jeffrey Epstein.

@Overwatch6 Oh all right. Conceded. And you make my point superbly, that conservatives are NOT a series of stereotypes.

@MrBrownstone Obama tried. The Republicans criticized him for wanting to soak with a known dictator.

The South Korean president knows his country is in the direct line of fire. He also got rid of some American military presence. What would be his incentive not to call the summit great?

When you "solve" the problem you yourself exacerbated, it's not really an accomplishment at all.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
Who is Beto O'Rourke anyway?
@Xuan12 he's the kid running against Ted Cruz in Texas
