Why do some Republicans feel that the laws don’t apply to them?

If you are asking about politicians, they all feel that way not just republicans. they will all bend or ignore laws when its in their best interest. If you honestly believe that one side is honest and playing by all the rules then you are not paying attention.

same reason some democrats do. politics are distasteful at best.

It might have to do with the guy sitting in the oval office with executive immunity and the examples he sets of disregard for the law.

Not saying it's the only reason, but from long before he became POTUS, he's been making statements that encourage lawlessness, disrespect for others and the judicial system and "justice" without due process.

Because they are enabled

Laws are what other people do.
