Because it is just a well timed smear campaign designed to try to postpone the hearings long enough that the current Senate term will expire in December. The democrats hoping that if they get more senate candidates in the mid terms they can block the nomination. It has nothing to do with what did or did not happen to the Ford girl. Just politics of power.

well, you are certainly the useful idiot aren't you. The alleged crime is not a federal crime. Why didn't she report this alleged crime to the appropriate authorities, the Maryland police? I'm guessing that would be because even this dolt knows they'd laugh her out of the police station while telling her there's nothing to investigate. She has elevated herself to a national joke by allowing herself to be party to the left's attempt to delay the confirmation process. He will be confirmed and she will forever be seen as a lying fool. Pretty much. Plus Kavanaugh has a lot of skeletons in his closet as well which could be pulled up if he does demand an fbi investigation. Aside from that Dr. Ford also spoke with her therapist about this incident six years ago. It’s not like she’s lying. I mean why would Ford want an fbi investigation if she is?
