If Judge Kavanaugh admitted the allegation and apologized, should that disqualify him from being confirmed?

Attempted rape isn't one of those things you can apologize for... even the dolts who support the failing and gutless Baby-trump must learn that.

@Johnson212 Oh, is that what you did? You mean as a public service out of the goodness in your hear for the benefit of all humanity?
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul Yes because in comments and reports people kept using the word Rape and there was not even an allegation of Rape. I like to keep things in perspective .

@Johnson212 It seems you like to keep things artificially pure.

There are 235 million adults in the United States, with a little less than half of them having a penis.

Surely there are some in that 119 million who are qualified enough to sit on the Supreme Court and who never tried to forcibly strip a woman naked against her will.
@Johnson212 Because there's no evidence that she drank. And if Kavanaugh's best pal, Mark Judge were subpoenaed by the Senate to tell what he knows, we would get some clarification. But the Republican Senators are too scared to have him testify because they know Mark Judge is a womanizing drunk -- probably like his friend, Kavanaugh. And, by the way, don't they always say, "Birds of a feather . . .?" @beckyromero

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays I am more correct implying she was drinking at a drinking party because I went to plenty of parties when I was young, very few people at these parties did not drink. So statistically it is more likely she was drinking as she was not. I wonder if they will be afraid to ask her if she was drinking at the hearing assuming she shows up to testify.

@beckyromero License to rape ? Who was raped I must have missed that headline. You have no problem taking unsupported allegations of a groping and turning it into Rape but you won't consider for a minute that Ford could be making this up to prevent his nomination. You have no evidence and no clue of what really happened but you have already convicted Kavanaugh as a rapist in your mind.

I said no such thing, i.e. that Kavanaugh is a rapist.

You said:

"So you think Ford went to a drinking party as a teenager but she did not drink ? Why would you think that ?"

I answered:

I went to parties as a teenager and didn't drink.

But I guess you are saying that simply being someplace where alcohol is present gives a guy a license to rape.

Get your head out of the Dark Ages.
Anyone thinking with a brain and not a penis would understand I took offense to your comment that all young women who go to a so-called "drinking party" drink.

I was not casting judgmement on Kavanaugh. What I wrote and what am writing below has nothing to do with Kanavaugh per se, either.

It is about what YOU consider to be rape.

You made that comment because YOU have different standards for the crime of rape, when you said:

"How could he possible apply the same standard as I did with drunk teenagers decades earlier. Broaddrick was not a teenager at a drinking party she was 35 years old and Clinton was also not a teenager he was Attorney General at the time, apples to oranges."

[big]RAPE is RAPE.

EVEN IF a woman is intoxicated, it makes no difference as far as the LAW is concerned. One CANNOT GIVE CONSENT in such a state.[/big]

You'd better get that through your thick skull because if you don't and you think you can have sex with a woman when she is intoxicated regardless whether or not you are as well, you might end up in a cell one day with a 350 lb. guy named Bubba.

If Ford apologized for lying should she still be allowed to teach our children?
@sunsporter1649 She's a college professor, not a third grade teacher.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays I have a 26 year old daughter, she is still a child to me.
@sunsporter1649 She'll always be!
