Has the Booker charade tanked his presidential dreams?

It’s one thing to be grandstanding and actually defying rules by releasing classifying documents. It’s another to be screaming and angry and saying you are releasing classified documents and prepared to face the consequences when you know the whole time that the documents are NOT classified.

It was like watching comedy central seeing all the dumbocrats making fools of themselves.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Looking forward to the shoe dropping on this one. @TexChik
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@jackjjackson have heard that grand juries have been under way since March, things are happening.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
450 sealed indicted not created by Mueller. @cherokeepatti
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
It won't hurt him with the left. I doubt he will pick up any middle or right votes with those antics and you need to if you want to win.
jeancolby · 31-35, F
Booker is a coward, bully and should go back to the hood.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
What if they don’t want him either? @jeancolby
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jeancolby
Trump is a coward, bully and should go back to Moscow.
TexChik · F
He should still be sanctioned
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I don’t think one may be sanctioned for making oneself look like a jackass but perhaps I am wrong. @TexChik
TexChik · F
@jackjjackson conduct unbecoming a United States Senator... he absolutely violated that rule
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Now that it’s been demonstrated he is a loose canon future public displays will only hurt the Dems. @TexChik
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
He's a clown without a costume. Animated gestures, Mr. Jazzhands, playing all sorts of stupid games wasting the time of others that are going to get things done to turn this nation around.
AbbeyRhode · F
He's a grade A clown, but I wouldn't put anything past the party that propped Killery up as a candidate, and still supports loons like Warren and Waters.
WoodyAq · M
We shouldn't ignore how long the Republicans are talking to declassify documents, and what a discreditable process they are using to do it.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That seems to be the modus operandi of both sides. That’s how the Dems rolled with the ACA. @WoodyAq
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Yes. And the Republicans complained bitterly about it.

But now ...
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
They both do the same thing. Not saying it’s right. It’s certainly not the best for us. @WoodyAq
Probably, but I doubt he had much of a chance, anyway.

I really do expect that, once riling up the kiddies for the midterms is over, at least assuming it works, that the democrats will end up trying to nominate a more stable and less controversial candidate for 2020 if Trump runs for re-election.

If Trump doesn't run, I think all bets are off, in terms of who will run for both parties, and even looking like an idiot might pay off if people remember his name.
@jackjjackson You've emphasized that point before, and while I see some of it, I think it's an oversimplification, as well as a Republican dream.

Obama coming out, for example, is a sign that the democrats realize they need to get their house in order, which includes bringing the Bernie crowd in.

I'm not saying they'll get their homework done, but the assignment was given out, and some people might still do it, if they're not busy binging on Micheal Moore films.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
A new Michael Moore film is coming out. How influential it is will be interesting.

What President Obama did in his speech is unprecedented for a recently retired president. In addition doubling down on the rejected Mrs Clinton message may hve the opposite of the desired effect. It could easily backfire.
Between Booker and President Obama, the Dems may have given the President the ability to ride this out and possibly get shudder the thought releelcted.

For some reason I think Dems particularly the left are sick of the Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi, Schumer generation. If the Dems were smart they would all be summarily dumped and the Dems will focus on Harris and Knobluchar now that Booker has shot himself in the foot.

No argument there, and listening to Trump and Obama back to back is similar to listening to the difference between a two year old having their first violin lesson and a virtuoso who can fill Carnegie Hall.

Trump's response? That Obama put him to sleep...Of course Donny, of course. More like he struggled over the content and the big words.
HerKing · 61-69, M
You excel in being disingenuous...Who 'classified' these documents? Step forward Steve Bannon's lawyer. You really think that someone who could hold sway over the SCOTUS for the next three or four decades and only nominated because (Under advice from the usual misogynists and authoritarian fans) Trump believes he'll get him off the hook with Mueller or anyone else who holds him to account for anything that needs to be looked into.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Kavanaugh will have moved into the SCOTUS by October. Name calling and conspiracy theories make you appear somewhat less than hinged king. @HerKing
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson And what will you reaction be if because of his appointment Roe V Wade is overturned? And He said in front of the Senate that contraception is chemically induced abortion (It isn't)...No doubt appealing to the right wing evangelical zealots. Implying he's against it (Like the Vatican used to be)

Which theory? It's a fact. You really should read more that Breitbart.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Geez king relax. Contraception is going nowhere. He has already on the record that Roe is a valued precedential case. It’s safe. @HerKing
Can't you almost hear him, "dammit...I wanted a strawberry popsicle, not grape!"
katielass · F
They should kick his ugly ass out of the senate anyway.
Viper · M
At think point, I don't think any one thing can completely tank someone... as it's more how they respond to it... heck look at the 2016 presidential nominatees... they both should have been tanked and had no chance, yet some how it came down to them.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Good point. I think this will come back to haunt Booker big time. It will be interesting to see how he tries to explain it away. @Viper
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
For once, we agree. Save the empty theatrics for reality TV... and the failing and gutless Baby-trump. Like the Baby, I no longer consider him a serious candidate based on that single act alone. NEXT...
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Harris and Knobluchar on the other hand came out looking good. @MarkPaul
You've got to be kidding, right?

There's like a dozen more substantial reasons that Booker is corrupt.

As for the charade-- you really don't want to talk about charades, do you?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Just an example. Can’t wait to read your Booker expose’ 😀 @CopperCicada
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
It won't hurt his future plans. It's all theatrics snd good t.v.. DC is just Hollywood East.
TexChik · F
@GJOFJ3 among the far left ... he can do no wrong
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I guess we will see. That video will come back to haunt him. The whole thing is clearly documented. @GJOFJ3
HerKing · 61-69, M
I wonder if Booker was trying to copy Trump?

jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You’ve already overexposed that one. Try again. Besides it’s playacting not real like Booker. Grow up. @HerKing
