You know how Trump's 'enemy of the people' talk is just, talk?

No, it isn't. Just as pizzagate inspired a nutjob, so has the enemy of the people stuff. Oh, and it was the 'corrupt' FBI who found him.
Chain’s threats against the Globe allegedly began after the paper launched a campaign to counter President Trump’s description of the news media as an “enemy of the people.” Chain allegedly made “approximately 14 threatening phone calls to the Globe between August 10 and August 22, 2018,” The Globe writes in its own report on the crime against them.

In the calls, Chain referred to the Globe as “the enemy of the people” and threatened to kill newspaper employees. The FBI’s transcript of Chain’s calls are horrifying, telling the recipients “we’re going to kill every [expletive] one of you,” mentioning “fake news,” and promising to keep up the attacks if the paper keeps attacking “the duly elected President of the United States.”

The threats are even more terrifying when read in conjunction with an affidavit revealing that Chain owns several firearms.

Chain was arrested at his home by law enforcement. He has been charged with a single count of making a threatening communication in interstate commerce and will appear in a Los Angeles courtroom before being arraigned in U.S. District Court in Boston at a later date. He faces a maximum sentence of up to five years and a fine of $250,000.

So to take your point, anytime someone repeats words similar to yours, you are responsible and if someone says words similar to yours and then does something wrong you’re responsible? If you were making the rules, no one would speak for fear of being blamed.

Pro tip: when forming a chain of logic it is crucial not to skip over a link.

@jackjjackson You're just normally disingenuous in a quaint "Aww shucks' sort of way, but now you're actually suggesting Trump's demonisation has no influence on the crazy who threatened the paper? Is there anything, anything at all you'd never forgive Trump for?
@jackjjackson

And tonight on the "I Don't Agree With a Lot of Trump's Behaviour But Allow Me to Defend Him From Every Single Criticism " show!.....

Other than a quantum leap on what basis do you blame the President? @HerKing
@jackjjackson

Event a) Trump repeatedly announces that the media are the enemy of the people
Event b) Chain threats to kill journalists for being enemies of the people and attacking the duly elected President of the United States

Dude. He made reference not only to trump's phrase to describe the media but to trump himself.

Protip: If you're going to deny the chain of logic, it helps to apply some yourself 😏

@Pikachu summed it up perfectly...What say you?

In all fairness, every maniac in history has had a small following of those who see them as the messiah. You cant blame Trump for the moronic acts of those who take their words as Gospel. This why it is so important for those in power and in the public I to moderate their language and think before they speak. (Or even AFTER they speak would be nice in Trumps case) His latest comments about being concerned about violence at the mid term voting is a case in point. Obviously their polls are telling them things are looking grim and bringing out the redneck rabble is one way to stop those family people concerned for their welfare from turning out.@HerKing

@whowasthatmaskedman If the Dems win the Congress vote he'll say it was rigged. If the Trump party keep it he'll say it's valid. He did say the election was rigged before he won it. I wonder what he was trying to say?🤔

No-one has a lower opinion of Trump's base than Trump. He doesn't like Sessions and resents that he isn't an Ivy league lawyer (As in elite), who "speaks as if his mouth is full of marbles.".. Sessions was one of the first to support Trump and from the south, where most of his base live! 😂

This is what i want to be clear on. Trump is not to blame for Chain's actions. Chain is.
But he does bear some responsibility because, as you rightly point out, it matters what a president says. When he insists to his citizens that the media are the enemy of the people then he IS responsible for some of those citizens believing that the media is the enemy.

Sorry. Every US election is rigged nine ways from Christmas , From campaign funding deals with the NRA and big business to gerrymandered electorates and reduced access to voting facilities in areas that may influence an outcome against the incumbent. And that was before the Russians ever showed up. So its just a matter of getting "the people" pissed off enough to overcome all that. This youth voting movement just might be it.. Trump has nothing left in the locker, since his people were motivated as hell last time, While a lot looked a the option of Hillary and stayed home. That's not going to happen again.@HerKing

Yes.. We agree.👍@Pikachu

^^^This.

There will he reversal in 2020. The nominee will be from the far left, the superdelegates will not stop it and the types who voted for Mrs Clinton will stay home. The democats have not and will not get over the divisiveness caused in 2016 when the DNC screwed Bernie and fraudulently gave the nomination to Mrs Clinton. @whowasthatmaskedman
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
I disagree. I don't think the democratic candidate will be relevant. I think the large turn out will be largely anti Trump to be sure he is unseated.@jackjjackson
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Guess we will see a lot of time between now and then. @whowasthatmaskedman

But Mid terms are coming.@jackjjackson
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Yes they are. A lot can happen between now and November. I wouldn’t want to lock myself into any predictions now. @whowasthatmaskedman
