Election meddling

Now that the proverbial dust has somewhat settled pending the final release of the Mueller report, I’m prepared to post a few thoughts.

The president parsed his words carefully. He did not say he believed Putin when Putin said Russian did not meddle.

I believe that based on what I have seen and heard that there was meddling either directly by the Russian government or by organizationa financed and directed by the Russian government.

I do not be,Ive based on what I have seen and heard SO FAR (there may be more to come) that there was collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

IF the goal of the Russian government was to elect the president the last thing the Russian government would do if create a paper trail of collusion which if exposed would undo their goal assuming they had a goal and it was achieved.

The most important thing we should have all learned by now is that it is crucial that a system be in place to prevent election meddling by anyone (foreign governments, their subcontractors, citizens, nutkobs, candidates and anyone or anything else.

One would suspect a goal of the meddlers would have been disarray and finger pointing in the United States among ourselves. We must show them their failure by unifying and preventing a repeat or worse.
Here's the problem, though. The Russians likely wanted Trump in office precisely because his leadership was likely to lead to just the disarray you're talking about.

And if so, they were right, because he's been actively trying to discredit and dismantle the intelligence apparatus which might be able to defend against meddling.

@ImDone He has a reading age of a nine years old (Though I think that's optimistic)he has the emotional and intellectual maturity of same or much younger. So to expect him to be mature enough to have a reasoned assessment of right and wrong might be his defence if he reached court.

Or we could become critical thinkers and see what claims have been verified and hwho is reporting the information to attempt to determine what slant and prejudices are brought to the table.

This was the weirdest election..including the hanging chads.

One faction of the fbi hating trump an DC the head of the fbi sending a letter to Congress saying he went through with hillary yet.

Screw the russians...what was the government doing to interfere with the process?

Good question regarding the government. Of course the government would be on the list of potential future meddlers to foil. @approachingmyexpirationdate
I sort of don't care about election meddling.

I'm sick of the country being distracted by that dog whistle.

I care about what has been on-going and sustained cyber-attack. I'm sort of not keen on the whole utility grid or the DJ or NASDAQ shut off. The next election. FAA air traffic control.

Most normal people feel the same as you...Trump is notably uninterested.
@HerKing I suspect the administration has no clue. I mean. If everyone installs Avast it will be OK, right?

Smoke. Mirrors and that bloody swamp just gets ever bigger !

I say that because the ONLY party we hear endlessly from is Trump.

Collusion or not, it's a demonstration of the mess you can make of the worlds largest 'democracy'.

I'm no more concerned about Russia than I was 2 years ago. I'm just glad THIS president recognizes Russia is not a country you want to allow to violate your red lines over and over or sell uranium to. The left isn't fooling anyone with their feigned outrage. It's really their hateful frustration over losing channeled in a different direction. Amusing really.

@ImDone You need a reading comprehension refresher. You've failed miserably to comprehend what I wrote. Blow off, I don't waste my time with dumtards.

we don't know what happened behind closed doors but the way to build a relationship is not by building a wall. putin came with hat in hand. he saw how fairly trump has been with NKorea. he clearly stated he wanted Trump to win. I believe as you do that the Russians were meddling but all fingers point to the dems who orchestrated the fake dossier.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
How we learn from this is to collectively prevent future meddling and stop the finger pointing and hate. @akindheart
akindheart · 61-69, F
@jackjjackson sorry i will have to break my finger to keep it pointing away from the dems..😞
HerKing · 61-69, M
How do you explain when asked directly "Did you want Trump to win and did you have officers enable that to happen' He said yes.

The Russian agent arrested yesterday? Part of the charge released includes (Dated 2015) that they (Russians) would ensure the election of Trump.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
My same anti meddling policy applies regardless of the candidate which may or may not benefit from the meddling. @HerKing
