I have no sympathy for anyone that is shot by the police

While going for a firearm
its pretty easy to follow instructions..
as soon as someone starts with the 'i dont have too' crap.. they should expect a face full of dirt and cuffs..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Instructions don't always make sense. Ever try crawling on the ground with your hands in the air and your legs crossed? Fucking that up got a dude shot in Arizona.

And sometimes they're weirdly loaded. A cop pulled a gun on me in Ohio when he asked if I have any ID and I interpreted that as a request to get it.

So yeah, not always that cut in dry in US. But it's a dangerous job for the cops here too, I can see being touchy.

I have no sympathy for anyone who didn't follow police orders and was then shot because the police felt his life or someone else's life was in danger.

I have no sympathy

Period

In rare cases I do. I heard of one guy who the SWAT team killed when he was holding his sidearm. Sounds bad, but as it turns out the SWAT team had hit the wrong house. The poor bastard probably just grabbed his sidearm because he heard the door bust down.
@Xuan12 i can agree with that

Neither do I .

What about the guy who was told to get out of the car and did so but had to reach in to grab his cane because he needed it to stand. As a disabled person I am terrified about I would happen if I couldn't obey a verbal order.

@ViciDraco Are you so stupid you can't figure out to tell the cop ok but I need my cane, may I get it first....you know, so he doesn't think you're going for a gun. Common sense, just plain old common sense.

@katielass the fact that it is becoming so is what is so terrifying. The fact that someone who has done literally nothing wrong has to stop and think that a cop may shoot for a behavior that is almost automatic to them is terrifying. Would you stop to ask the cop if you could breath or blink? If you are disabled long enough, these become automatic actions like that.

The police need better training. Training that teaches them to not fear the public they are supposed to serve and protect so much.
