Reasonable of course being relative. Appoint enough socially conservative legislators and you'd be a fool to think they won't legislate some socially conservative horseshit

@Pikachu Not to put too fine a point on it but legislators are elected not appointed. Supreme Court Judges are appointed and approved by said elected legislators. The people have the final say. Unless the democrats are in power then only the elite have a say.
