It makes sense if you knew any Mormons. They're socially conservative Christians, but they're painfully aware that they are hated by the mainstream fundamentalist Christians who have a considerable amount of political capital right now. So they feel vulnerable. If I was a Mormon I'd want a Mormon Senator or President.

Exactly, and did you notice when he stopped running his mouth about Trump? I figure that's when he decided to run for senate. I didn't vote for him in 2012 and I wouldn't vote for him now. Of course, in hindsight he was better than the alterative but so was Roger Rabbit.

@jackjjackson Yes, I do. I've ever liked him, just as I've ever liked mccain. They are both the sort you can't trust. I wouldn't turn my back to either of them.

@jackjjackson IDK but I'll say this, ever underestimate Trump. He has proved over and over to be much smarter than the rest of them, even when it doesn't look like it at first. He knows what he's doing. And I believe he knows what they're going to do before they know it. lol

He's not from Utah, but for Utah conservatives, it's not about where you're from, it's about how your political clout, can benefit Mormonism.

Wasn’t there a native Utah conservative thst almost carried Utah in the presidential race? Seems to me he would have been a better or at least more trustworthy choice. @Northwest

@jackjjackson You mean the former CIA guy (I think it was CIA, possibly FBI). He was not even close to carrying out to anything. He was only a minor player, as long as someone like Romney was not running.
