Post-Trump : Will the GOP still be the 'Party of Trump' ?

the nation has been parted out like an old car for decades, repubs and dems alike. have presided over this sell off, and the Giant casino, that our economy has become.

the supporers of Mr Trump, are ill educated, even about him and his traits and history. I started my info file on him way back in 1987, when he went to the Soviet Union, its the same year that i started to follow the carreer of MR Putin as well.
the "OLD" GOP is pretty much dead. the NEw one, has been built on fear, misinformation, and anger.
this is NOT good for our country.
i could not vote for either Mr Tump or Mrs Clinton last election.
the lesser of two evils is still evil.
@Ynotisay it was not an insult to your intellegence, only the knowlege base it is built on.
anyone who can "insult" you, is in control of your emotions. WE should all get over "being dissed"

@SatyrService You sucked me in again. OK. Last time. I tried to be tactful with that response but the truth is that only a childish thinker would take what I said and turn it in to "Why do you think corporate control of the entire world is a good thing?"
That kind of thing is beneath me and I try to refrain from playing in sandboxes.
Better?
So respond if you want. I'm sure you will. But I'll be exiting stage left. Thanks.
@SatyrService I'm not going to be get in the dirt over this, but IMO, not voting for a candidate who had even a chance against Trump is nothing to brag about.

If he'd lost, obviously, I might feel different about protest votes, but you basically voted for chaos.

Oh, no. Coat tail riders simply hop off and jump on the next coat tails that come along. What we have in this country isn't the GOP, which some would argue is dead anyway. We have the Cult of Trump - Republicans are simply making use of the distraction to push their agendas.
Too soon to tell, I think. I'm not a 100% sure there will be a Post-Trump at all, much less a GOP at that point.

@MistyCee They could always re-brand as The White Nationalist Party , or something similarly catchy.

Mostly, as they were headed for someone like Trump anyway.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@SW-User It make you wonder just how extreme their next Presidential candidate will have to be.
WoodyAq · M
Nope. He's wrecked the party. Or rather, driven in the final nail.
Northwest · M
I am not sure. The Tea Party was the initial splinter. They've grown in numbers now, but folded back in, as GOP voters, rather than independent Tea Party voters.

Whichever the case, this is no longer the GOP.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
He's changed for at least a generation.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
Certainly. They will stand behind him and never leave him - no matter what he still will do. 🙄
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
fuck that god dam son of a bitch!

those who still support him are murderers.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
I don’t think the gop would know how to things the way Trump would do them
OggggO · 36-40, M
Does anyone else actually want the party at this point?
