It’s all intentional. Insulting trump is trendy and trendy makes money. Do you really think the higher ups behind these award shows and what’s shown on tv would allow something to be broadcasted without their being some sort of personal gain?

As for insulting murderous gang members. The only reason that was criticised is because trump is very much known for his racist views and the way he worded his ‘criticism’ sounded more critical of immigrants than it did the specific gang members. That being said, that was probably also intentional to cause the reaction it got, because divide and conquer sure is a ‘beautiful’ tactic.
