In the US the most striking need for some law was captured in one historic photo
The then Governor of Alabama,George Wallace physically attempting to bar two black students from entering a state university.
It varies from nation to nation but the idea that one should not be held back by race,color gender seems sensible.
I'll give you my full term paper next week,Prof!

A lot of people resent it but then systemic racism does exist.
I think looking at the causes is more effective way IMO but I also think affirmative action has a place.

Clumsy but it works. People also need to realise it is almost never a quota but instead considering being a disadvantaged minority as a qualification to be considered among other things.

About the same as my thoughts on unions. Where they are needed and where people need them, they inhabit an important place, but it may not be true across the board.

Maybe we shouldn't put names on our resumes, just qualifications and contact numbers. See how many managers accidentally hire a minority.

Affirmative Action is kak my broe.

@Ralfhenrey 🤣

If affirmative action is applied by the majority on the minorities then it spells trouble.
If it were the opposite then I would agree with such a policy.
