Until we get rid of soft targets this will continue! Sign at school [b]GUN FREE ZONE[b]is inviting a killer to walk in and start shooting. Large bold sign at school: STAFF AND FACULTY ARM AND TRAINED TO PROTECT STUDENTS will make 99.9% of these sick people from even thinking about an attack.

It is ironic because the military normally use assault weapons not the “entitled” people that have never served in the military. This won’t stop until NRA members that live in their own fear; surrender their arms.
@SW-User As in the US having the most firearms of any country by far! None comes close to it and also having the most gun and rifle deaths. We murder our children by far more than any other country. We need to mourn and reflect. Trump proposed just taking the guns. He is on the side of the NRA also or he just got excited and said the first thing that came into his head. Imagine that 🙄
And its very disturbing even to someone on this side of the Atlantic. A President who sees the solution as re-enacting Wild West shootouts in the classroom!
@Donna15 it's a people with easy access to guns problem. The latest one used his dad's lethal weapons. That dad was clearly not a responsible gun owner.

If you look at U.S. military deaths from only combat and terrorism, that could possibly be said of most years when the U.S. was not actively fighting in a war in a given year. Just look at the low totals from 1980 to pre-9/11, generally.
@Notmesam the criminally insane are precluded from owning a weapon by a judge after seeing proof they are in fact insane . Their right can be temporarily enjoined until that hearing . The “ indoctrinated by terrorist groups “ you mention is exactly why Trump Enacted the travel ban on military aged Muslim men from terrorist countries because they performed terrorist acts in Europe... and he doesn’t want it here .
