I dont care that Trump is a complete Pig.

I really don't. Nor do I care that he is a total horror of a human being, uncivilized, ill mannered, barely literate, liable to tantrums. None of that.
Nor do I care that he surrounds himself with sycophants, second rate at best and unable to tell the truth or even make up a cogent lie. I don't care that he is a liar, a fraudster, a cheat and a serial adulterer. Nor do I care that he is a moral and physical coward for dodging the draft with phony bone spurs or getting others to do his dirty work over and over. I don't even care that he blatantly pushes an agenda to make the rich richer while the people he wooed get nothing. That is their own stupid fault for believing the Myth of America.
I simply wish he would be a sensible president and have a single direction to point in. to give those who voted for him and those who are watching a great nation twitch and spasm this way and that like an epileptic having a seizure, some sense of where the nation is headed.. It was funny at first. Then it was sad. Now it is tragic.

It makes me wince when people refer to Trumpism as if it is some kind of ideology when it's actually nothing more than his latest caprice .... what might be true today might not be tomorrow. This clown doesn't have a strategic bone in his body , apart from trying to thwart those investigating him of course.

I don't see how the Office of The President can ever be the same again. It's been debased beyond repair , and the Republican Party along with it.

@RodionRomanovitch That sums up Trump in a nutshell. I couldn't have phrased it better if I tried. Deserves a Best Answer.

I agree@NankerPhelge

You simply wish he would be a sensible president and have a single direction to point in? You are indulging in a vain hope there, I'm afraid.

It may not be so bad if the political donations of big business and special interest groups did not control partisan politics.@bijouxbroussard
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard What we need is to find the right person to use the right persuasive charm on them. I don't believe that's not possible, and besides, stranger things have happened already.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
True. Dwayne Johnson for President and Michelle Obama for VP.🤔@NankerPhelge
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Nor did we care Obama was the worst president in America's history, who surrounded himself with idealogues who couldn't get a security clearance and only wanted to destroy the economy and set race relations back over 60 years.

he's just taking his time - its not even been two whole years yet and people are judging him - why not look at the positives of what he's done as well?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Yes.. Kept Hilary out of office.. I have to give him that..@SW-User
@SW-User What “positives” ? He’s had scandal after scandal and he’s made racism fashionable again. Hate crimes have increased since he’s been in office.

Trump represents America on the world stage as well as impacting on American citizens lives so I think taxpayers who pay his wages probably should care about the things you say you don't. As for having a sensible president, pretty much every move he makes suggests he's the opposite and he seems to be getting worse.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@fazer1k Too numerous to list here. It would take a week for me to list them.
fazer1k · 56-60, M
@NankerPhelge How about your top 3 then?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Wag the Dog..@fazer1k

But I believe it's because of these deficiencies you've listed that the possibility of being a sensible, principled president is impossible.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Not impossible in my opinion, if he provided clear purpose and leadership. Generals like Patton were not diplomats, good listeners or tolerant. But they knew what they needed to do, how to get it done and inspired followers with that.@Graylight
room101 · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman But what field does trump excel in? Whipping up a crowd? And generals, by definition, are not meant to be diplomats. They are meant to get things done, be leaders and, inspire followers. We need a whole lot more from our politicians.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
On that point we absolutely agree. My original statement was not to judge Trump as a bad president because he is an appalling human being. I personally believe there is more than enough evidence of his shortcomings based purely on his Presidential performance.@room101

He is a danger for the whole world.

Blah blah blah

@whowasthatmaskedman you tell yourself whatever you want
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman “prescribe to globalism” 😂
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Yes.. I saw it and assumed "Subscribe to globalisation" was meant.😉@luckranger71

Wanting even one thing from the man is a gamble.
