He actually wasn't defending Laura Ingraham.
He was disagreeing with the increasing use of boycotts of sponsors as a way to try to silence constitutional (meaning "legal") speech that one might disagree with or find offensive.
Does make you wonder... and just using her show as an example:
Which would cause Hulu to lose more customers?
If they [i]didn't[/i] end their sponsorship of her show as David Hogg urged?
Or if Laura Ingraham and other conservative talk shows hosts subsequently urged people to boycott Hulu [i]because[/i] they pulled their ads?
Maybe one day we'll find out. Don't really care if it's a left or right issue.
But advertisers who start taking political sides in such a knee-jerk fashion may find it is risky business.
